Give what up ?
I said Taka in centres with Semi in wing aided our forwards . They have been replaced with Hoffman and Hayne. Both more skillfull player but they dont hit it up like forwards like Taka and Semi did.
So many games our back where to walls and Taka made a powerfull charge.

That along with a soft draw and only scraping our wins. Like I have explained, winning by one score is not dominant or the better side. It is just the time the game ended.5 mins longer and result mey be reversed.

We played 7 games where it was decided by one score. Won 6 of them. Canberra played 9 and lost 7.And beat us twice . Not so sure we where a better side them then judt thr game ended at the right time for us more then for them.
That’s also been the case for us in three games this year. Luck always plays a part.

We’re 0 and 4 while a couple of teams of plodders are 4 and 0. Don’t pay so much attention to early season form.

Early in the year it’s always about playing simple. It’s no different from previous years.
Dragons are Plodders???

@Gary Gutful what do I need to do to lift my game to Pou’s dribble and shit??? I need some tips from the master???

Actually there are 4 things the playing team can and should work to fix immediately.

1, Discipline - concentrate on not doing the silly things, like offside, stripping the ball and staying on the tackled player
2. Enthusiasm - come to work (game day) with a mongrel attitude that says "I want to play to the best of my ability for the whole game in every play, tackle and pass that I make. I want to walk off the field as a winner and be hating myself and the opposition if I don't."
3. Camaraderie - be there for your team mates even if you don't truly like them. You need them and they need you to work together.
4. Respect - for the club, your team mates, your coach and your fans, especially your fans as they pay your wages - the others enable you to enjoy your twenties and early thirties doing something you love and getting paid for it while most other people have 'settled' into a career that they won't like after 10 years and will get paid only a portion of what you are getting. Stop being best mates on the field with the guy who just kicked your ass - fans do not want to see that. Leave that shit till after showers when the fans have gone home. Don't disrespect us by making it look like you don't care that you lost.

TLDR: fix your effen attitude.
What I can't work out is why the whole team is gassed after about 10 mins play. Look at them, hands on hips, head down, distressed and breathing hard yet the other team look calm and refreshed. What is going on? According to TCT the training this year was harder than ever but they look totally off the pace and this is contributing to their losses.

But are other forces at play here? Is there disharmony in the team because something is obviously wrong. You don't go from a top 8 team to wooden spoon candidate in 5 months without something happening that we don't know about.

big middle forwards still play in the middle so its mostly all one off stuff, TRex played on the edge so not really a fair comparison

boring footy mistake free can win games and premierships, hasn't been working for us as we keep turning the ball over

Does anyone think that Tahu Harris would be anywhere near as effective and arguably the best backrower at present if he wasn't 6'5?

Come on, give it up. You dopes said our pack was too small last year and we proved you wrong. Then we added Williams, Evans and Takairangi.

Now we drop some form and you’re back on your disproven theory from last year.
Lets look at your players Pou.
Williams, good so far but only tiny sample in his first game played. Could become She-Rex at any time thou.
Evans, underwhelming recruit and has proved my assessment right so far. But hopefully will turn form around to what he was 2-3 years ago.
Taka, needs time in Wenty to become a forward imo, and hasn't shown much yet. But has pedigree to become a good forward but atm a work in progress.

What do you guys reckon re bringing Evans back in? To be honest I am in no rush to push him back in but interest to hear your opinions.

Agree, its more about toughness. I use Gallen,Greg Bird,Graheme,Lewis as examples. They arent big but are tough. Weight is not the issue nor is height.
You do need 2nd rowers who can break the line. Manu has great footwork but is not my style of 2md rower. I like a guy who runs straight and hard out there. Not trying to run around the opponent.

And what do all those guys have in common? They are lilly white or Aboriginal mentally tough hard arses. That's what. We only have one of those types of players at the right end of his careers in Brown. We almost have two, which would of made a huge difference, but he is at the wrong end of his career and should of given it away last year in Scott.

I would go as far to say, if Scott was at his peak as a player, we would probably have won at least one of the last four games. There is nothing like having a guy in your team that the opposition look for to avoid and are actually fearful of for good reason. He can and does hurt you. That also has a knock on effect for the rest of the team and gets them up.

Now then add a couple more bigger bodies in the pack that can run a lot harder then the mini-mes that we have at present and the team takes on a whole new complexion and attitude.

Oh yeah, we still need a better dummy half option too.

Depends on the rest of the bench.

I'd pick Evans most games though. His form has been down and I've been concerned about his work ethic since before we signed him but he's our tallest forward, has great ball skills and a good offload and step.

I think he needs to be there, basically with him and t-Rex we have that added size we may be missing. Obviously his form hasn't been the best but he hasn't been terrible either.

While Peni (most likely to be replaced) was good on Monday, he really only offers what we already have in Mannah/Alvaro/Brown while Evan offers something different, size/attacking ability with an offload.

Is Scott offering enough from the bench as a middle forward? Maybe Evans could offer more.

Or is T-Rex as the edge player on the bench a better option then Edwards? Or even Manu? Thus Creating a spot for Evans.

Kane Evans agrees.

No one here said that big is all you need, no matter how many times you try to say or imply that that is what we are saying.

Kane Evans is a solid 1st grade bench player, that when he comes on can maintain the teams forward momentum and isn't a liability in defense. But he needs to be in a winning team, otherwise he gets gassed very quickly and is very ineffective. He is not a player that can play well on the back foot.

Actually, someone has implied that big is all we need. Not you though.

Thats the Parramatta Eels to a tee.
This year it is, but imagine what he would have added to last year's team. we could all be forgiven for being optimistic that we would improve. This why this poor start is so hard to take. We had all put the bad days behind us and were entitled to expect more.

Nah our forwards were too small and adding Evans and Williams made them even smaller.
