Under siege? Why is he under siege? Because a half yelled at a forward. Have these merkins ever played the game?

Back in the day my mates and I used to play 'the game'. Which involved going up to people (who you knew) and asking 'are you playing the game?' and if they replied 'what's the game?' they got a firm punch in the chops. It was all pretty harmless until we let a Cook Islander (actually one of the Iro clan) in on how the game worked. Seems like our blokes have played the game.

Well, I still have a click in my jaw.

We were playing the game in about 1991. Can't remember which idiot started/introduced it. I do remember punching one of my mates at a poker night (after we varied the rules a bit and basically made it 'punch your mates in the head if they're not looking) and he turned his head at the wrong time and he lost a tooth. I think that was probably the last time we played it.

Bringing Watmough was one of the dumbest things he has done since being our coach and I and others here stated it at the time and we were right.

I also wasn't very happy about Scott for similar reasons of age and injury issues at his age. Now at least we have gotten some decent games out of Scott, but still for the coin and what he was brought here to do, I feel overall he has been an average signing. But not the disaster Watmough turned out to be.

There are always great leaders around at other clubs that can be brought in that would of done better jobs then either of those two. I know your first question will now be who? But I don't remember who was around at the time we signed them two so I can't give you an example.

But just look at the Dragons this year. They pounced on James Graham and even have the Dogs paying from what I heard most of his 900k salary. Now that's an awesome pickup. A high profile individual that is constantly in demand by the media(free exposure for your club), leader on and off the field, no nonsense charismatic and liked by most fans of the NRL.

Also on that, when he retires, and if he stays in Oz, he will probably have a job in the media. He will be another media personality that will be aligned with both the Dogs and Saints. All we have is Sterlo from 30 years ago, who is good at his job, but you would never know he is a former Parra boy, and the buffoon Hindy, that no one takes seriously.

I heard a story on one of the NRL shows a few weeks ago, that during the off season on their training runs. Graham was busting a gut as he normally does and two of the other forwards who admire and look up to him(apparently they all do) didn't want to be seen as weak and wanted to impress and in doing so broke their personal best records. Now that is the sort of thing you want from a leader.

Not Watmough, who by his own words would keep to himself and after training would rush off home.

There are always leaders in the game that you can get to your club that can change the attitude of the younger boneheads. But the coach has to be able to identify and then attract them to the club. So far as I'm concerned BA has done a pretty piss poor job of that so far.

Foran was dumber. Guy look bog average at dogs. Must of had 50 tackles inside there 20 and created nothing.

"Parramatta have gone cold on the idea of signing talented English prop Ryan Sutton.

Desperate for one more front-rower in their rotation, the Eels were considering Sutton, who wants to play in Australia and was given the green light to make a move by his club Wigan.

But after doing their homework on Sutton, the Eels now believe he isn’t up to the toughness of the engine room of the NRL on a weekly basis.

Their hunt for a quality front-rower continues, however."

This won’t go away. From a UK newspaper overnight....

Wigan have as many as 15 players out of contract this season and are set to lose prop Ryan Sutton to the NRL, with Parramatta Eels looking to bring him in mid-season.

Quote from Bernie on the booze up.

“After a thorough investigation, the Club has found no evidence to support those allegations made in the correspondence. It is the Club’s understanding that the person who sent the email was not the eye-witness and that they heard of the incident second-hand,” Mr Gurr said.

“Our understanding is that on the night in question five of our players went out for dinner in the city and headed home by 10pm to 10.30pm.

Foran looks like he’s got a f**ked back the past few weeks he’s looked like he’s the tin man not to mention his dicky hamstrings.
Foran definitely isn’t the ball running 5/8 he once was that’s for sure.

Manly subsidised Watmough’s contract too. And he absolutely set standards at training. He doesn’t need to hang around with the boys for coffee afterwards. Leaders need to keep some distance.

Oh pull the other one. You're just being ridiculous again.
