That’s frightening how such great minds can say similar things. You do have a right to say that. In fact you just did. And you will suffer no consequences for doing so

Bazal your obsession with Alvaro as our saviour is well intentioned but wide of the mark. Don't get me wrong he is good in our team but not when we have the following clones of him, Mannah, Terepo, Scott and Moeroa all in the same team together. All good defenders but poor attackers with no variety. The balance of our team is well off with all those together which is what we have now. Three need to go to be replaced with 2 big skilful props, another dummy half and one big winger. They will transform the team from bottom 8 to top 8 and maybe even challenge for the title with a bit of luck. Not my problem if you stupid f**ks don't understand balance and the value of a good hard working bloke who makes almost every tackle he attempts while still making 8-9m per run
f**king more fat props!!!!
You just did. What right has he to say what he wants when I don't have the right to call religion a fairy tale perpetuated on mankind by vested groups. They've only ever offered division amongst people causing wars over the centuries. They don't give a shit for the common person and are only happy taking money or free labour off people but never give back when that same person falls on hard times. End of rant.
Sorry Pou more bs. If you had a different idea in 1300s Spain you'd face the inquisition who'd change your mind or kill you. If you thought the world revolved around the sun, rather than other way around, you'd be counselled into the error of your ways in 1600s Italy. Tolerance to different ideas from what was written or contrary to the church meant punishment or even death until you conformed. Tolerance to different ideas was dangerous a long time ago.Things have already changed. We learnt to tolerate different ideas a long time ago, back when most of the Western world was religious. Intolerance of ideas is now making a rapid comeback and it leads to dark places.
yes you doWhat right has he to say what he wants when I don't have the right to call religion a fairy tale perpetuated on mankind by vested groups.
i seriously doubt he was doing it for that reason seeing he only said it in response to a question he was asked on InstagramIf anyone thinks that he wasn't trying to find traction and support for such thoughts by posting them publicly has rocks in their head.
Folau has every right afforded to him under the laws of our great country to say what he likes.
The public then has every right afforded to them/us to criticize him for those thoughts if we so please.
Period.
If anyone thinks that he wasn't trying to find traction and support for such thoughts by posting them publicly has rocks in their head. He knows he is Izzy Folau the mega footy Union star. He knows there are thousands out there who have similar views. He has been around long enough to know how little ones look up to him and he has a great influence on them. He wanted to express these thoughts knowing that others like him would agree and support this way of thinking.
What I believe is that Folau and others who hold such beliefs are brain washed and are spreading hateful ideas and not caring about the knock on effect that those ideas have and do create for those who they single out as somehow wicked for something that they do in their bedrooms.
We are all flawed and for Folau to point out that one sector of the community will go to this place called Hell when they die because his good book says it will be so, and not think that he too under the laws/rules of that book, will most probably go to this Hell, is either absolute stupidity or the height of hubris. I mean you are damned if you eat shell fish in this freakin book and other such ridiculous things. So we are all going to hell.
But saying all that I love when bigots say these things and I wish they all would come out and say whatever wonderful thought pop into their heads. I want to know who they are.
For example, El Dickface. He exposed who he is many times on here, especially when he posted pictures of intellectually handy caped people on here, making fun. Like I said, I want to know.
Bazal your obsession with Alvaro as our saviour is well intentioned but wide of the mark.
No, just the definition of bigot has changed. Now people are labelled bigots if they share their religious views. Folau wasn't calling for action against homosexuals, he was stating a religious position on them, that they would go to an arguably imaginary place after they die. It is no different to saying blasphemers or infidels would go to hell. Certainly much different from saying they should be thrown from the tops of buildings, or beheaded. Christianity alone gave us a world where crimes against God were no longer considered crimes against the State. But we're not in the past.
Is that where you see this going? Criminalising dissent? Changing the views of bigots has been happening over centuries, and we are on the right path I believe.
It is more tolerant to the point where dangerous ideologies like Islamism and Communism are allowed to spread unchallenged. Meanwhile saying somebody will go to hell causes a bunch of atheists to piss their knickers. The world has become more tolerant than they were in the past. I just wish it would speed up.
he's employed by the ARUYou forgot that he is employed by the Qantas Wallabies and has an obligation as a brand ambassador.

if he had some separate deal with Qantas they would have dumped him by now just like LG did with Warner
what would peoples thoughts be if Cricket Australia forced Khawaja to wear alcohol sponsorship?

Is anyone trying to get you sacked for those views? Even though they were used by atheists to justify oppressing and killing millions of people last century? There is a huge gulf between you stating these views and actually killing people. What right has he to say what he wants when I don't have the right to call religion a fairy tale perpetuated on mankind by vested groups.
All the world's most effective charities are religious. Their ability to provide welfare services unaffordable by governments is the justification for their tax exempt status. They've only ever offered division amongst people causing wars over the centuries. They don't give a shit for the common person and are only happy taking money or free labour off people but never give back when that same person falls on hard times. End of rant.
F**k off churchie.Hi I'm looking for the religion discussion forum. Am I in the right place?
