Bazal your obsession with Alvaro as our saviour is well intentioned but wide of the mark. Don't get me wrong he is good in our team but not when we have the following clones of him, Mannah, Terepo, Scott and Moeroa all in the same team together. All good defenders but poor attackers with no variety. The balance of our team is well off with all those together which is what we have now. Three need to go to be replaced with 2 big skilful props, another dummy half and one big winger. They will transform the team from bottom 8 to top 8 and maybe even challenge for the title with a bit of luck.

Things have already changed. We learnt to tolerate different ideas a long time ago, back when most of the Western world was religious. Intolerance of ideas is now making a rapid comeback and it leads to dark places.

Sorry Pou more bs. If you had a different idea in 1300s Spain you'd face the inquisition who'd change your mind or kill you. If you thought the world revolved around the sun, rather than other way around, you'd be counselled into the error of your ways in 1600s Italy. Tolerance to different ideas from what was written or contrary to the church meant punishment or even death until you conformed. Tolerance to different ideas was dangerous a long time ago.

You forgot that he is employed by the Qantas Wallabies and has an obligation as a brand ambassador.

If both the ARU and Qantas have a position on homosexuality which differs to his own, his choice is to find another job or STFU and tolerate it.

He has 120,000 followers on twitter and it was irresponsible to do what he did. This is not a free speech issue it is about damage to a brand and ultimately conduct under his employment contract.

No, just the definition of bigot has changed. Now people are labelled bigots if they share their religious views. Folau wasn't calling for action against homosexuals, he was stating a religious position on them, that they would go to an arguably imaginary place after they die. It is no different to saying blasphemers or infidels would go to hell. Certainly much different from saying they should be thrown from the tops of buildings, or beheaded. Christianity alone gave us a world where crimes against God were no longer considered crimes against the State.

The world has become more tolerant than they were in the past. I just wish it would speed up.

It is more tolerant to the point where dangerous ideologies like Islamism and Communism are allowed to spread unchallenged. Meanwhile saying somebody will go to hell causes a bunch of atheists to piss their knickers.

But you just did say what you wanted to. And so you should say it. But it's a complete myth to say that we are stopped from criticising religions (in this country). Often we criticise religions and other people may tell us to get f**ked (or that we'll go to hell ), but that's different to saying that we are prevented from making such comments.

All the world's most effective charities are religious. Their ability to provide welfare services unaffordable by governments is the justification for their tax exempt status.
