Or Keppie. I wonder what the respective deals are for Vae and Matagi Vrs what it would have cost to keep Keppie.
But matagi / Vave have nothing to do with keeping Keppie, they aren’t on contract next year.

Yeh, I did. So remind me why that means that the Dogs will give up a player who is under contract til 2021? And who they're getting great value from ?
Twal-Bench player who is identical to Alvaro in style. I rate him, but he's not what we're missing
Fuimaono-Fringe first grader, abysmal defender.
Ailoai-Left because his manager was Will Hopoate's manager and wanted his clients out of Parra, it was well spoken about at the time. Fringe first grader.
Matterson-Still can't work out whether he's a forward or not. Fringe first grader
Paulo-Quality player, left for massive overs at the time though.
Keppie-Young player offered a top 30 spot at Manly, hasn't even played NSW Cup yet.
It's hardly a list to get worked up over, to be fair....
Why would we give them Vave or Matagi? They are off contract !!
Additionally you make it sound like BA does nothing on the recruitment front, just because you don’t read about it doesn’t mean BA isn’t making inquires all the time and talking to mangers and players.
Don’t forget Moses wasnt even considered as a possible signing until the deal was done without any suggestions in the media we were interested!
So why didn’t Bellamy close the deal with their massive offer to Milford?
Why couldn’t Bellamy keep Harris? Is he shit at negotiating?
Or aren’t you the one that rates Cleary as one of the best coaches (sorry if I am wrong), yet he couldn’t close the deal on Tedesco or woods ?
Why couldn’t Robinson convince Cootes to sign with the roosters a year or so ago?
Why couldn’t Hasler convince Foran to sign with the dogs a few years back ?
Why couldn’t Bennett convince Taylor to return home this year?
Etc etc etc etc!!
The point is that we didn't have to go out to market for these types of players like we did. Therefore we would have more juniors in our squad, probably playing with more pride and honour and who knows maybe for a little bit less each, which would go to recruiting quality over quantity as BA seems to have done.
Also the all important balance would be addressed with the guys I mentioned plus Keppie being primarily of European or Middle Eastern decent.
So you're diminishing our wins to fit someone's (negative) narrative? Sounds a bit death-riderish to me
Obviously you didn't read my post that explains exactly why and how.
That's only because you don't know what a death-rider is. A death-rider is actually someone who has a vested interest in seeing the team do badly. That's not me, mate. Out of curiosity, what's your take on why we're going so poorly this year? Just bad luck?
Ah yes, the all important KKK Formula
Not completing sets, lack of direct play from the halves, not fighting to get up when we're tackled which leads to slow play the balls and not allowing the backs enough space, lack of confidence. Plenty of reasons why we're not winning, don't think it has anything to do with the BMI of our forwards or that we're just shit.
Doesn't the combination of all those things you just mentioned over the first 9 weeks (resulting in us coming last) mean we are 'just shit'?
Good point there OA. I saw one player fight the tackler to play the ball quickly. That was Will Smith and surprise, surprise, we got a penalty. Why do we just submit? Conserving energy perhaps?
I'll ask the question again, because the last time I asked it, it got ignored (and I suspect it's because either it doesn't fit in with this narrative of "we didn't sign enough players", or people simply don't have the answer):
Where is the proof that we didn't make an effort to bolster our side by signing some more props, or another hooked?
Where is the proof that players didn't simply knock us back?
It's so easy to cry and say, "BA has no idea - he was too easygoing in the recruitment department," but nobody knows what went down.

No because we've seen this team perform well last year. If it was consecutive years of losses like from 2010-2014 then I'd say yes.
Twal got offered a three year deal and a first grade jumper. Keppie got a top 30 spot, ridiculous when he has yet to even play NSW Cup and hasn't been a particularly impressive junior. Ailoai we couldn't keep for management reasons. Fuimaono, Souths oaid way more than we were willing for a poor defender. Raiders paid 600k of a 7-ish mill cap for Paulo, huge overs under that salary system....maybe we simply save money and got similar level players?

You told me to read your post immediately before the one that I replied to. I can't see any explanation in that. Humour me and show me exactly what you are referring to.
If you were actually to look at any of our juniors then you’d realise how ridiculously incompatible your two paragraphs areMaybe if the lower grade players were seeing a coach that had faith in them and blooded from within instead of recruiting similar players from outside, they would feel there was a future here. If BA had of elevated someone like Twal or Matterson, they may still be here for less then what it cost to recruit someone else.
And yes we need the KKK to balance our squad. They help keep everyone honest.
