A reporter just before the season started asked BA about the forwards and he replied that he was happy with what he had and you'll be surprised how they'll perform. BA was full of confidence in them. Well they have certainly surprised us with how they are going, bloody awful.

You have said this before and I have questioned it before.

Do you really think BA tells the media what he really thinks? Or is it only merkins like Bennett that are selective?

I refuse to accept that he is 100% fit and was dropped so early in the season due to form alone.

Fitness and injuries have no doubt played a part. They are not the entire reason because let’s face it he has been very poor but they have been a factor.

It is certainly possible that injuries have progressed as the season has worn on but I don’t think he was any more injured than our other middle forwards for the first few games.

To refuse to accept the possibility that he was dropped purely on form is a little narrow viewed IMO. You may not think it is likely but it is certainly a possibility. After all, he did spend time in the ISP Cup last year.

Hayne replaced Radradra. And our biggest middle forward has been in reserve grade all year working on his fitness you f**king idiot. Evans needs to do the same but he is injured.

Good to see you're back Pou even tho I disagree with you. How can you compare Hayne with Radradra? Both very gifted players but Semi was a sledge hammer while Hayne used guile, Semi at his peak while Hayne in decline. In saying that tho I was hoping Hayne would be better in what he has shown so far.
Evans has shown absolutely nothing to suggest he is any better than a reserve grade player. One can only hope that whatever BA saw in him will be shown on the field within the 3 looong years we have him.

There's 2 options for the club: whinge about how crap he is and just ignore him going forward, or attempt to improve his ability/form in the hope he'll be less crap for the remainder of his contract

The new line for the poor buy in Evans he wasn’t fit enough to show his best, when asked if he was so unfit why was he promoted to start in round 2 all I got was crickets.

I f**ken told you why. Starting the match doesn’t mean you’re the best forward in the 17. Matagi came straight from reserve grade into the starting team ffs. And still only plays 30 minutes.

That said, I think his form has been rubbish and may still have been rubbish if he was 100% fit. But he wasn't. Also, I am basing my assessment on watching the games rather than someone else's report.
