Semantics. Coach and club parted company.
For what its worth, I think BA and club will part company at the end of this year. 5 years is a good spell and BA hasn't delivered. The club will want to be seen to be making changes.
I hope we don't just lift our skirt for anyone though. We need to recruit a top notch team of head and assistant coaches.
I'm actually leaning slightly towards not sacking him at the end of this season. I want us to go for the best coach available and that would be Bellamy, but I just don't think he would be all that interested in Parra for some reason. I could be wrong and money talks and who knows he may find the challenge of lifting the leagues greatest failure considering all the abundant wealth we have on and off the field would secure him the title of the NRL's best coach ever. But something tells me a coach of his stature wouldn't want to tarnish his legacy with what the Eels can do to a man, at this stage of his career. Maybe getting a coach close to retirement is not the best thing for him or Parra.
That is why I think we should wait for both Cleary's to be available, which is in 2020, and pounce with a mega offer for both of them. I have mentioned this before and feel this would be the making of a new era for Parra. The rumour though is that the Roosters and Politis are scheming just that. Like I said successful clubs do the seemingly impossible and the losers make endless excuses. Lets see just what happens.
But if the Roosters do sign them, watch all the apologist start bleating on that.....
cut and paste endless excuse here.
