Yep. You’re overrating the weaker members of their pack because of the form of their overall team. Most forwards in both squads are just solid first graders. Ours proved last year and this year that team form can make players look better or worse than they are.

Please elaborate on what the make up would look like if you chose the best from the Eels and Dragons starting packs Poupou ?

It’s hard to tell at this stage because they’re in good form while we are not. How would you have answered the question six months ago, and why should current form change things? We’re not picking a rep team to play this weekend. We are talking about signing players on multi-year deals based on multiple factors.

I would suggest that perhaps no one is taking your opinion personally, just that the personalities, coupled with the anonymity of the internet, means that there are simply more people here who will call you out when you 'go medieval" and start losing the plot than there might be in your circle of mates...?

The Gold Coast Titans have landing a signing coup, recruiting hulking Canberra Raiders prop Shannon Boyd on a four-year contract.

Boyd, who played four Tests for Australia in 2016, will join the Titans at the end of the season with his deal to keep him on the Gold Coast through to the end of the 2022 season.

The 194cm, 122kg front-rower has 100 NRL games to his name.

"Shannon has impressed me throughout the process and I believe he is a great acquisition for the club," Titans coach Garth Brennan said.

"He is an imposing figure that will bring some much needed size to our pack.

"He has played 100 NRL games and has represented his country so he brings with him a fair amount of experience that will help a number of our young guys.

"He will complement the forwards we already have here so I'm pleased he has chosen to join us.

"I'm looking forward to him joining the club next year."
