I can see us winning a few we might not expect to win right now...we often do well against the Broncos out of the blue, for example. Rabbits are pretty hit and miss. Cows are as bad as us at the moment.

No doubt it's been a shocker of a year though.

I can't see any of that except the shocking year thingy. Regardless, I can guarantee there will be a slippery ride for all of us by the time the GF final siren sounds. I'll start, by getting lubricated.

If we bone Norman what are people’s thoughts on putting Gutherson at 6 to partner Moses. Then swap French for Holmes and give him the fullback spot?

If it was possible would it be a good deal?

No. Gutherson is our long term fullback let him play there,. This season is shot. Best to give some juniors some time.

Lets start with the #1. Gutherson IMO is our fullback and we should never be thinking about moving him.

It’s going to be unpopular but I’d bone Norman and then probably re-sign Hayne for what he’s on now (500) and play him at 6 as he has a better passing and kicking game than Gutho. That would also be a saving of possibly 200k from punting Norman. Salmon as back up half.

I’d also release French and keep Gutho at fullback freeing up more money.

This could go towards a decent winger or hooker

However if Holmes became available that changes things.

How do you bone a player on $750k who is contracted for 2019 ?

How do you sign Holmes who is also contracted for 2019 @ $850k?

I agree with some of this but I wouldn't re-sign Hayne, it's now time to look forward. On a side note, I see Norman moving to adult movies to further his career.

I only say it because he is our best current option at 6. And there aren’t many decent ones available. Salmon isn’t ready yet which is why he can be the backup.

By offering him to other clubs. Holmes wants the number 1 and Cronulla have another 2 top shelf fullbacks.

I’m not saying we should do it. I’m just trying to create some scenarios which may present themselves after we get the spoon in ironically the cursed jersey where we acquired most of them.

#thanksbernie.

Hayne 2019= 31. Hasnt played well since 2014. Lets throw 500k at someone who has done nothing in 4yrs At a position he never looked good at.

If we offered him 250k -300k to play wing id be ok with that. Anymore and same mistakes being repeated by a dumb club.

If Hayne goes elsewhere and kills it great. A risk im happy to take over throwing 500k at him.
I also think with Moses we be better with a steady half. But I would rather give Norman time under a good pack.

Hayne is yersterday’s news. Would much rather his 500k was thrown at the like of Pangai Jnr etc. Players with their best years ahead of them.

BA has failed with team selection.

If he felt Taka was a 2nd rower long term then why is he back at centre ? Was 2 games enough tp convince him he isnt?
If he felt Hayne was a centre why was he moved after only 2 games. One where flogged and no ball. Once to fullback then to wing. And if he felt he was a winger was he worth 500k?

What was with KE not starting the season over Scott? Ridiculous choice.

Same goes for King, Kaysa,W.Smith at hooker. In then out then Smith starting then King back. If he feels they are good enough do they get only one game to prove it? I found Smith starting against dogs odd. After that game BA decides it doesnt work and goes back to King.

Mannah and Alvaro starting together also a BA blunder.

My feeling is he is trying different thing but is unsure of his decision, confused perhaps. Pou defend all want but here is a list of a few errors he has made I feel so far this season.

Actually I will add Scott starting in the 2nd row twice.
Injuries have forced all these reshuffles. Or at least most of them.

Of course he’s failed. If you declare we need better players, and he’s recruited the team, how’s that not his fault?
Because there’s such a thing as a salary cap, and the suitable players need to be available at the right price. We could’ve signed anyone we wanted if we threw enough money at them. But I’m glad we didn’t.
Assembling a bits and pieces team isn’t a long term soloution.
Right, but after two wooden spoons Arthur needed to focus on short term solutions. In fact, given the state of our fanbase after an ordinary half season it looks like we still need to be focused on short term solutions.
He’d rather buy a reject or an aging veteran than shell out money for top quality players.
We have shelled out some big money, including on two halfbacks. Every signing is a risk.
His big name signings proved to be amongst the absolute worst recruiting in nrl history.
If only Arthur had the benefit of hindsight like you. He must’ve thought none of our new signings could get injured, the f**ken idiot. Sack him.
Bringing Hayne back was another wtf BA moment. Many have seen enough to suggest he has no long plans for the club.
Yeah a current Origin outside back isn’t good enough for our side.
