We are filling our 17 with mostly average first graders - a couple slightly above average, some below average but mostly all average. No team is going to do anything meaningful in this competition without at least one (probably more) genuine star.

It's Austin's reads in defence. They are horrible. Got dropped to reserve grade because of it.

Them figures aren't too bad . Remember when he had huge wraps on him and was considered a great signing by Canberra? He could get there. I hope he does if he comes here on the cheap.

Well the reason for that is bigger than which players we sign. If we aren’t signing genuine stars it isn’t because we don’t recognise them. It’s because we can’t afford them.

Moses has been dogshit all year, like Norman and the rest of the team. They haven’t forgotten how to play, they’re out of form.

Great runner, ordinary at everything else. Austin wouldn't solve anything for us.

The only reason Austin plays in the halves is because he has something resembling a kicking game.

The fact Austin has so many LBs and so few LBAs actually shows his lack of playmaking.

Does the threat of Austin's running game create space for the players outside him? Certainly. But his playmaking stats show he doesn't have the best skills for taking advantage of that. I think he's one of the most overrated players in the game.

We've tried that with Gutherson. It doesn't work for us, particularly when we don't have a quality 9.
