What I can understand, and as usual you post some dribble pretending that you're the expert in all things RL, is that our roster is not good enough to consistently make the 8 let alone win a finals match. For some reason you think otherwise. Is the last 9 years a good enough sample for you or just last year which always seems to fit your argument.
Our roster was good enough in 2016 as well. That is our most recent two full seasons. 2018 doesn't cancel that out.

Problem with Musgrove is that he isn't already a SoO player so half the posters on here won't give him a go and will find a way to write him off as a shit signing before he even arrives (if rumour is true).

No the problem with him, if there is a problem with him is that in his NRL appearances thus far he has been very average and hasn't shown much at all. So for most of us more level headed fans we will wait and see. It is noteworthy to point out that he hasn't been able to get back into the NRL side this season now that Burgii and Co are playing to their abilities.

But so far judging from his 2016-17 seasons, he seems to offer very little to the NRL side that we don't already have other then size. But I for one, am not criticising his rumoured signing and I'm deferring to hopefully the better judgement of our clubs recruitment staff.

Looks like he has been injured for most of the year.

His stats for 2017 were pretty good for a 21 year old rookie prop (averaging 100m / 20 tackles).

In 2016 he was eligible for under 20’s but still played 6 NRL games (averaging 23 tackles / 87 metres).

Not sure you could expect much more from a rookie prop.

Obviously it could be all down hill from here, but he definitely is young enough to improve over the next few years too and build on his 2017 form.

We should of been in the Wods mix. At 500k he was a steal.

Who knows what Jnr will give us. He could become the best prop in game or fizz out to a big lazy unfit lump.

We need to stop signing guys with potential and shit attitudes. Evans was always known as a bit lazy and same goes for Jennings. Evans should be tearing house down in Wenty to get back in grade. If anyone saw his game they would be dissappinted. Matagi was far and away the best prop on field. Evans just lumbered around at half pace. Pea heart.

So being not as good as the Burgess sisters means a 22 year old prop is no good? Anyway his ankle was f**ked at the start of the year: https://www.foxsports.com.au/nrl/nr...s/news-story/8c8c4571ebf9e42ac896d16769415f87

At his age you would expect him to keep improving. Well, maybe you wouldn't. But anyone who understands player development knows that writing off a prop in his early 20s is ridiculous.

Of course Woods is a better all round player than Paulo. So is Nathan Brown. But Paulo offers great attack, which is something we lack in our middle forwards, and he offers it without being too much of a defensive liability. That's why we're signing Paulo on big money. He's one of the rare players who can consistently disrupt a set defensive line.

Woods contributes more over the course of a game, but we already have plenty of high involvement forwards. We would get diminishing returns from another one.

Woods would of been good if we moved on say Mannah. Not that Mannah is playing bad but Woods is an upgrade. Before we sign anyone we need to try and cut contracted guys. Unsure how we do it but like you mentioned previosuly there is no point having guys in Wenty on 250k

If the Storm's roster was good enough last year why did Bellamy make changes to it? Even the best teams want to improve. Why wouldn't the ordinary squads want to do the same?

Lol they’ve just won a fcking comp. Its a salary cap thing for them. Don’t compare us with the storm or BA to bellyache.

Correct me if I am wrong, but the last 2 forwards we recruited from Souths were Nathan Brown and Fui Fui Moi Moi? And the last 2 from Roosters were Shane Shakleton and Kane Evans? I know where we should keep looking.

I think you'll find our roster position is "a salary cap thing" as well, given we're only one full season out from having to entirely restructure the cap cos we f**king cheated ffs.

Just shut the f**k up, seriously. You know f**k all and you're insulting chimps by comparing yourself to them. You act like a f**kwit, get smashed and then pull out the old "I'm just messing" and hide behind your abysmal command of the English language and anything involving human communication.

I take nothing here personally. I certainly don't go around calling people bullies, like you do. If you actually knew anything about what I thought you would be qualified to make a comment, but you're just another f**kwit who doesn't understand that someone who disagrees with you doesn't necessarily have a diametrically opposing view.

Stick to lick Rams racist date hole and talking up Panthers juniors you've never seen play.

He'd have to push you aside, you ingrate.

Oh yeah I fcking forgot about that. Is that the year we wiped Watmough and Foran off our books, to put us well and truely below the cap?

Also didn’t we still have a spot or two up for grabs this season? And between 500k-1 mill to spend on a quality player as well? Or we blaming that on max too?

Lol.

If you still can't get how the cap saga f**ked us, you're beyond hope honestly

I wouldn’t say it hasn’t helped us, but if you think it’s the contributing factor why we’re last, then I’ll give it away.

Which players are chewing too much from our cap since we’ve cheated?
