Getting the ball more often means getting it closer to the ruck, where the defence is tightest. Out wide there is more space but less ball. It's a trade-off. But more is expected of fullbacks and halves (even the ones wearing 6) than just the ability to beat defenders. If you have a back whose main role is to take on the defence you stick him at wing or centre. Whenever Hayne is passing before the line or kicking he is being wasted.Maybe/Probably not. . But Hayne with his hands on the ball more often last night might have got us the win. . If he's in the halves, do we not maximise that chance, especially in the last 7 games of 2018 that mean jack shit for us??
