Can someone tell me how the wests tigers rebuild has been successful. They had a good start to the year by just beating sides by penalty goals in melbourne and the roosters who were still getting the combinations going. They have fallen away badly in the last 2 months and dont look like getting close the finals.

They haven't played finals since 2011. And churn through just as many CEOs, coaches and backroom staff as what we do. So can someone please tell me what i am missing.

Rubbish. They followed the coache’s game plan for 20 mins then they lost their way with dumb errors. Maybe you should watch the match again.

But last nites game is a microcosm of our season, (a little bit of) good, (mostly) bad and (usually) ugly. Isn't it the coach's job to fix this shit but absolutely nothing has changed. I doubt we'll win another game this season based on what I've seen so far this year.

BA has proved this year he has NFI and needs to go, as simple as that, and the new coach needs to get into recruitment straight away. I've lost any hope that BA will buy another decent prop as, for some reason, he rates our forwards higher then they are.

French, with his speed and skillset, should be a fullback in the Dufty mould, but isn't. Could/should be with decent coach.
Our wingers are small so we need to add size.
Mennings needs to go even if we pay half his pay, Ferguson and Gutho to fill in there. Hayne probably too inconsistent to re-sign imo.
Leave the halves as they are.
Let all forwards off contract go and recruit at least another decent prop and hooker.
Remaining spots filled with juniors and promising players from both ISC competitions.

You have a lovely day Gronk, we lost in the dying seconds but I would argue it was one of our worst performances of the year. We were fantastic against St George and excellent for 30 mins against the Comp favs IMO. But that effort last night was about 6 steps back, they played like a team who don't believe in the game plan or in the coach.

Jennings gets dropped but was straight back in after one game, he was invisible last night and not having a go. you could say that about quite a few players, but it can't be the coach???

BA needs to introduce the team mates to each other. Played as a team for 20 mins then, for whatever reason, played as strangers who had one training session together. Its the same rubbish dished up each week but Gronk seems happy with it. Wake up Gronk, no wonder we are misberable merkins, the team is SHIT and BA is clueless.

From reports i dont think it will be ready round 1 ... but maybe a month or so into season .... we will play there next year ..... unless a big sink hole opens up between now and then - knowing our luck its a possibility

Well they came close, so who knows. But it was a very inexperienced team, and it showed down the back end of the season.

Paulo's form is no different from usual. Low involvement forward with big impact per run. Last night he made nearly 12 metres per carry, though only seven carries and 20 attempted tackles in 37 minutes. By contrast, Alvaro (his polar opposite nyuk nyuk) made just over 8.5 metres per carry, but 15 runs and 45 attempted tackles in 44 minutes.

They will complement each other well.

It's how to have a moderately competitive team on a budget. I believe it involves prioritising personalities over talent. So you'd have a less talented team but more resilient than our current mob.

Our forwards have been the least of our problems this year. They only needed to add some quicker play-the-balls inside the red zone, which Paulo brings. Our biggest weakness has been go forward out of our own 20, and Ferguson will fix that.

And did we have a team good enough to make the eight in 2014, considering they had just come off two wooden spoons? The 2015 team lost its best player so why would you expect them to go any better? It wasn’t until 2016 that Arthur got the team he wanted and that was torn apart by the cap scandal. Last year was a step backwards (but we still snuck into the top four) and only this year has it all gone wrong.

The question now is if 2018 is Arthur’s fault or is it his problem to fix. None of us here know the answer, but hopefully the current review will find it. And just because they make a decision to keep or sack the coach doesn’t mean they got it right. We will never know.

If we sack the coach but go worse in 2019 it won’t mean that we would’ve gone better if we kept him. Likewise if we keep the coach and make the eight in 2019 it won’t mean we wouldn’t have gone better with a different coach. We will never know. If you want to claim to be logical you need to understand these concepts.

So a few merkins don't think its all BAs fault when we have a horrible year, BUT, praise BA as it was all his doing that we climbed off the basement floor from 2014 onwards. Wtf, can't have it both ways.
