Even if it doesn't work it there's no great loss, and at least it would provide some interest. Put Norman at fullback, Gunco to centre, drop Jennings or shift Hayne to wing. Won't happen though.

Smith isnt the only player who has regressed in season 2018. He had a couple of really good games sharing the 9 last year and I recall one great game from him in the 1. Given his being swapped from position to position I reckon he deserves a little slack. That said his last NRL assignment was atrocious but the same can be said of Gutho.
Hard to understand how so many players have gone backwards this year.

Luck has nothing to do with it. We are where we are because we have continually shot ourselves in the foot from the front office all the way to the back door. Form starts from management, down, it's called culture. When that front office ever gets itself sorted out you can be assured success on the field will soon follow.
