The problem with these merkins isn’t that they ask questions, it’s that they think they have all the answers.

They’ll cherry pick things that changed since last year and claim any of those is the reason, which at least has some logic (except they fixate on a small subset of changes), however the f**king dumbest of them look at things that haven’t changed since last year (e.g. our forwards) and go on and on about how that is the cause of our failure this year.

So we buy the game’s best go forward winger to replace the one we lost, plus we buy a middle forward who at his best is as destructive an attacker (per carry) as anyone in the game, but somehow our pack still needs a complete overhaul?

Have I mentioned I am happy with our team for 2019. With Mahoney emerging and Niakuore we have 2 new guys. They arent first graders this year. But will be in 2019. We are on the right track but lets hope we do not throw it away for a dumb sig ing like Marty Tapua.

I'd be happy with that. Neither Moses nor Norman will be here once their current contracts are up...imo

I would too but I didn't think Moses was on the noses yet. But after a season like this perhaps I shouldn't be surprised.

Is Brown any chance for 2019? If physicaly ready I would throw him in with Salmon.
Norman is a better play then Moses as can defend but Moses if clicks I still think can become a top 5 half in game.

I think Tapau could be a good signing. Watched him on League Life and got the impression he'd always put in. Also that he's a bit up himself.

Maybe he was on the nose before he signed? Only a 2(.5) year deal for a young half when you think about it isn't long.

Would probably be a good move for you, but would need a good 2 year deal to get it done you'd have to say. He has family in NZ, and I'm pretty sure his partner has family in Brissy, so back to Sydney would have to mean good $$.

Niaukore I doubt will be more then an ok Nrl player. Unsure he will ever be a star. Who knows. Mahoney Should be an upgrade on Kaysa.

So we might be able to have a team with 15 stars, Gutherson and Niukore (who will both never be stars). Hopefully we can remain competitive with that top 17.

Gutherson can be very good. I am not sure he has the tools to be a Tedesco or Turbo tom
