We don’t win shit without him so it hardly matters

Well it does.! We are whinging about Mosses & Normans poor form.
But things would be allot worse if Salmon was in the halves.
Salmon doesnt have the greatest kicking game. Not the best organiser, Poor creative skills.
The kid is strong and if you look at the tries he has scored this year its been through strength.
Not creativity at all.

I however love Brown. Complete superstar

Salmon sounds more like a centre than anything.

“He’s a footballer” is a quote which gets thrown around, but often means that a player is a good bloke, digs in and often good things happen around him. Problem is that these players like Gutho, Bev and possibly Salmon is that their best position in the team is cloudy.

Hopefully Salmon can find his position or if not, just be that game breaker like Dean Widders or Tyrone Peachy.

For over 30 years it hasn’t mattered who played in the halves we still haven’t won anything. Salmon may as well be added to The list of loser halves we have had

Time will tell. I'd say the best team is one with balance. Develop some juniors but recruit quality experienced players where needed.
That is exactly what we should be doing. If you remember back to the late 70s, early 80s we had a great crop of juniors coming thru and filled the holes with players such as a young Sterling, Peter Winn, Cronin and Ray Price. Then Gibson came in and bought experience into the team with an aged Bob O'Reilly and 'Bunny' O'Reilly (did he also bring in Steve Edge?). The 'experts' laughed at Gibson but he proved how astute he was as a coach and won a g/f at his first try with Parra.

Trouble is Parra have basically been a basket case since the late 80s and nobody wants to play for them except for huge overs. So again we should be building our juniors up and filling the holes with experienced and good players, particularly in the spine. We also need a decent coach to get them to the finals consistently before we can obtain the services of a coach like a Bennett or Bellamy (or even a Hasler) to win a g/f.

I would too but I didn't think Moses was on the noses yet. But after a season like this perhaps I shouldn't be surprised.
If we lose Norman and replace him with an inferior player then the coach has lost the plot. If we also lose Moses at the same time then the coach has NFI. We need experienced players in the spine which IS only the halves atm. Will our improved(?) pack help the young rake (Mahoney) reach his full potential. It certainly seemed to help him in U20s Origin. Now all we need is a decent fullback and a decent game plan. Is BA able to do this? I have my doubts.

Bunny Reilly never played with Parra. I think you mean Stumpy Stevens...Jack Gibson was an EXCEPTIONAL coach...Once in a generation...years ahead of his time...

John Monie was on NRL360 a few days ago. He had a few funny stories about Jack.
