You’re missing the point. At bare min we paid full price for him. Despite the shit he put us through and his poor attitude. He was re-signed after his publicly stunts/brain explosions. Why wasn’t he realessed back then? Is it any real surprise no one wants a bar of him at his 900k price. And rightly so. BA’s only hope is to attempt to amend Corey’s attitude.

Did we really pay full price? Given where Norman was at when he signed that contract and how much halves in a similar position on the field were getting, on average, a reported 200-300k more. Halves cost a lot of money, even the crap ones.

I believe it's a combination of things. Rule changes in the play the ball, injuries, the loss of Semi, ill-discipline, not having a real home ground, predictable game plan, below average kicking game including goal kicking and probably the worst #9 options in the NRL. We also have not had one player stand out consistently at any time during the season apart from the odd showings of brilliance, ala Hayne. To top it off we've had more shuffles to our backline than a game of cards.

Matty Johns says it's because we don't play like Souths or Storm. Easy peasy.

Storm's scale to weigh their forwards must stop at 115kg. If NAS is not 125-130kg I'm a bad judge of a person's weight. And their other forwards are bigger than listed, you just have to compare them with other large forwards from other clubs and they are definitely the same size or larger.

Hard to argue on the basis of 'facts' with you if you selectively disbelieve some and believe others that have been prepared on the same basis. Whatever data is presented, you'll just say that you're right and some of the data is just wrong.

There are all sorts of things that can make on teams players 'appear' bigger than others....not the least of which is the jersey design that the teams play in. Just ask women about the impact of horizontal stripes v vertical stripes on perceived weight. Although I'm not sure that the the stripes on players socks make them look taller or shorter.

Definitely you mate.

Ha! Good one Gronk. BTW, I originally thought your username was taken from the character 'Gronk', from the short lived TV comedy from the '60's 'It's About Time'. But, I'm sure it's from the NRL player.

So why are Corey, Mitch, Bevan, Mennings, Taka and Gunco all having their worst seasons ever even though our forwards are pretty similar to what we have had for a while? Its a bit of a mystery.
Corey - how far back did he get tapped?
Moses.... who the f**k knows
Bevan probably part sulking, mostly part because he's not a grinding player that right now we need
Mennings combo of age, difficulty of position with our compressed defence & then not giving a shit
Taka is either supremely unfit or just didn't give a shit about defence and I'm inclined to go with that because with ball he's been his usual self
Gunco hopefully injury & hopefully he gets past it completely

A sudden loss in form plus all the votes of confidence that our training is superb doesn't auger well for everything be ok amongst the playing group

Moses is a running 6, so is Norman IMO. I'd rather keep Norman out of the two but if we lose one so we can afford a decent dummy half and to strengthen our middle it needs to be done.

Just fast track Brown for next season and give him the whole year to learn his craft. With Moses off contract he either performs or he goes as well and we go to market for a half because I don't think Salmon is a 6.
Norman is close to the worst running half in the league, he dances half pace to the line every time, never runs full pace or looks threatening.

Agree about brown, looks like BA has chosen one of the 2 current halves and next year will determine if Moses has the goods, otherwise he can f..k off

He’s a pretty good playmaker. Just can’t tackle. Might not be suitable for our current setup. Though he is a left footer, like Norman.

Losing Semi meant that we lost a lot of power rucking it out from kicks into our half. That affects the momentum quite a bit. The backs either get the ball later, or in less space. Add to that the absence of Brown for several weeks, Matagi switching off after week 2, Vave eating someone's lunch....

The loss of Semi has affected us more then any of us would like to admit, we have lost so much go forward especially rucking it out of our own end and getting our sets started.

Bevan French has had his worse season because his simply showing his true colours, his stealing a living playing in this team, the sooner he moves on the better, he has offered nothing what so ever.
