Like I said 80kgs wingers went out in the early 2000s
Name the last 80kg winger Bennet had?

I would build a team based on physicaly attributes. If didnt meet a certain height and build for a position you are not given a chance.

Wingers would have to be atleast 6ft 1. And then they'd face the next test. Would need a certain amount of speed. Then power etc.
It is exactly howmits done in NFL. If one slipped through nets from not meeting this test then fine.
Remis was a big kid that would of met the physical attributes while French wouldnt of.

Same would go for props and 2nd rowers.
French has always been considered a fullback .... FFS hindy, are you high this arvo or something?

Im not trying to be controversial by any means. BA was the perfect guy for our post Salary Cap disaster. Hes Parra through and through and has my respect. Maybe I am wrong but ive always felt BA likes everything done his way. That can be both positive and negative. We need strong management to ensure each individual does his or her job. Refine and adjust. You write of coaching support. What happened to Brett Kimmorley? Lots of positive stuff was written re his short tenure then he was gone. Palmer gone. We secure a nuffy. Gentle gone. Grima becomes assistant or does he? Hes not mentioned at all now days. We lost Matt Cameron to Penrith, Luke Burt etc. Why did these people leave?
The new HOFM Position will be very interesting. Will BA be happy that he will relinquish some control? Maybe this is the piece of the puzzle that is missing. I guess we will see.
I really hope the review achieves what it should be designed to achieve and that is to identify and correct whatever stands in the way of our great club realising it potential and maintains same.

Another great post mate.

Not always. He was considered in the halves for a period in either SG Ball or 20s. And he has been considered on the wing plenty of times in the last 3 years
FFS we are talking about 3 years ago when remis-smith left .... he was a fullback then and maybe considered in the halves a little ... he wasnt a f**kin first choice winger then .... like hindy is crapping on about

do I need to say it again? ...... FFS

If you remember my posts from back then I said he reminds me of Reece Robinson and got howled down by most of you lot. Hmmm...

Plenty on here that know juniors where dissapoinred he was let go. By memory it was due to salary cap for 20s and he was the one they made way for. Rather then Dargan or Matterson who they signed for 3 yrs and let go after 1.
I like big physical players so yes I would of kept over French

I wouldn't of let go of either. But you are right as usual Hindy, our recruitment and retention is still way off and it shows in NRL and reserves where you can't hide and fudge bad decisions in those areas, like you can in the junior areas where we do have an abundance of talent, but then stuff it all up after that where real talent is needed in picking the best to go to the next level and is a real skill in itself to get right most of the time.

BA also saw Matterson as a long term half. Offered him a 3yr contract which is long for a guy whomis 20. Then moved him on after 6mths.

Bulldogs fans should be proud of their team. Full of reserve graders or kids and look at the heart.
Someone get us a f**king leader

Just asking, rate the purchase of Junior out of 10. Feel free to add your thoughts why you rated him the way you did. For me, it's a 7/10. I feel he's become too big at the cost of mobility and game time. I also think he's susceptible to suspension and injury. However, he does offer that much needed grunt up front.

I'm starting to think we should go all out to sign Flanagan and his son for season 2020....Anyone know what their respective contract situation's are? There's big wraps on young Kyle.... Brown and Flanagan in the halves for 2020 perhaps....

Never been a big fan of Flanagan or the footy his teams play, but you can't argue with his record... Former Eel, might be able to convince him to come for the ultimate rugby league challenge...
That’s not such a crazy idea.

He was a great signing according to some.
He was bought to the club to provide leadership which we sadly, still lack. We bought in Foran then Scott for similar reasons. I heard Hayne say that BA wants him to be a leader. Im sure I recall identical comments from Norman, Gutho and Moses. Our latest signing, Ferguson stated that the appeal of coming to Parra is because BA wants him to be a leader.
So what happens to all this leadership ambition? I dunno and im guessing no one else does. One theory is "are these players allowed to lead"? Wtf knows.

We need some tough hard arses. Mahoney I like for that reason. Looks a menace. Niaukore has decent power but not a leader or aggressor at this stage.
Bar Terepo, who in our side pulls off a big booming hit that stings the opponent ? Old Mannah and Alvaro certainly do not nor does the lumber jack Evans who is as soft as cotton. We need some balls. You can change the momentum of a game with one set and it can be done without the ball with 5 big hits that hammers the defense and forces the halfback to a rushed poor kick.

We need a Greg Bird style to lead us. I do not see anyone in our pack with that sort of mongrel. I also think it has to do with how we are spotting guys. Dofs always have a tough mongrel pack due to coaching and type of players they recruit.

Kane Evans, and Nathan Brown, can put on big hits.
