As SL mentioned above!! What happened in 2016, around the time we may have been talking to the youngster?

Can’t really blame Gurr / Max or BA for missing this opportunity!!

But moving forward it seems they are getting there, gee we have some promising juniors in our squad next !!’

Really???

I would be looking at someone like Peter Mulholland the recruitment guy at the Knights to be our HOF. We need someone that knows how to spot real talent and attract talent to the club. The best teams have the best people. Look at how the Roosters just forked out big bucks to headhunt the Storms assistant coach.

The best clubs are always grabbing the best talent at all levels.

.

Adam O’Brien and BA played footy together at Batemans bay (BA was captain coach) and BA got him his start at the Storm as his assistant in the 20’s

So we missed signing a junior in 2016 and it’s Gurr and Max’s fault? They weren’t even here. And BA had enough on his plate trying to keep the NRL side together without a board, footy manager, CEO etc etc etc .,.,,,,,

Really? I blame whoever made the decision not to sign him. He like Klemmer has been an outstanding prospect at junior level. We never seem to get it right. We keep the guys that amount to nothing or very little and fritter the opportunities to recruit and or retain the best of the bunch.

If it were the exception, then I would agree with you, but it's not. It's the norm. We haven't been on the positive side of the ledger in over 10 years for FFS.

Excuses is what wooden spoon teams are made of. No, if BA was the guy that put the kibosh on the the deal, then he is responsible for another major cockup and I can't wait to see the back of him.

The best coaches are the best recruiters. He so far has been shocking at both game plans and recruitment. Fancy not knowing that size matters in the NRL. Well at least another wooden spoon has half awoken him to that fundamental fact.

And what promising juniors has BA lost ? Yeah a couple have played NRL and gone ok but not better then what we have.

And we won’t be the last club to lose the race for player to the broncos!!!!

Additionally if you are dishing the club for losing out on the recruitment of Fifita to broncos maybe give them credit for signing a promising junior that chose us over the storm (and several other clubs).................

Perfect real life example of what I wrote about in my previous post. The people that we have in executing all the different systems that need to come together to make the whole organisation a success are either incompetent and/or antithesis to each other and the club as a whole.

We need the right people, in the right roles to do the right thing for the club to ever turn around and have any sustained success. Just another sad story we can add to the growing list of missed opportunities we can all lament over for the next 10-15 years.

I just don't know what to say anymore. When ever I think of these things I just shake my head in absolute disgust and disbelief. How bad can this joint get? It just doesn't seem that this shit will ever really stop. They will just keep promising and promising, but in the end we will not truly be a leading professional and title winning club.

Well you would think that we should of had the inside running then to bring him over to Parra. But oh wait, BA doesn't need anybody else, he can do it all himself.

Oh ffs people, why do we need to keep hitting rock bottom, before we start to make some noise that we may need to change things up?

This is a very ugly repeating cycle that we haven't broken in decades and Sterlos great recommendation in Bernie Gurr has been woeful.

What I would be looking at doing is trying to entice John Quayle to be our CEO. Bring in a master operator and a guy that has tonnes of high end of town contacts/ sponsor opportunities for our club. Bernie has attracted nothing but mediocrity and amusement for all our competitors.

Hasson and Tanginoa where at club and further up ladder then Twal. That is what cost us Twals signature. He was deemed excess. Since has excelled

In blueprint means I have proven a fact

In 2017 when he left us mid-season (as did Hasson and Tanginoa) Twal WAS excess.
He has since played 30 first grade games (29 off the bench) and has failed to score a try in any of them.
Exactly how has he excelled again?

Really? At least I am not talking crap !

So we have 4 middle forwards on the bench now?

You do realise it wasn’t until round 12 last year that we actually had an utility on the bench ? The previous 11 games it was a bench of 4 forwards!!

So still not sure how Pritchard stopped Twal having opportunities in the top side!

Did Frank play NRL for eels?

He is 22. Has Tackle effieceny of over 95% and average 100mtrs a game off bench.
He is no better then Mannah but sure costs a lort less.

No doubt when Twals hardened by greater NRL exposure and finally scores that try and increases his value exponentially, BA will want him back to partner Paulo, Matterson and Keppie in the run on side.
Too much? Lol.
