I like the look of Storm centre Scott Drinkwater, He was terrific on debut last week.
Don't know whether he is signed up to the Storm.....but he would be a good inclusion to the Eels squad for 2019..

Just found this article....

Hi Pete. Drinkwater has never played center mate.. Half / 5/8 or full back.
Main reason they moved him to full back was because of his defence, His all ways been quick and skill full with the ball but didnt like contact.. He has improved alot since moving to Melb a few years ago. Originally from Terrigal on the Central coast.

The Nuthuggers At TCT are hardly the most reliable source of info, when it comes to Nuthugging they make Gronk look like an amateur.

From that article, this quote from Norman made me laugh.
“We are both dominant halves and playmakers and both want the ball at the same time and sometimes that doesn’t work but we have to figure something out really quick and how that is going to work.”
I’d argue neither are capable of leading a side around the park, both are running 6’s at best.

More qualify recruitment, So glad the coaches doesn’t make mistakes........

Recruiting top line stars starts with getting your house in order. That means:
A playing group that is committed to being the best they can, every game;
A coaching group that can improve even a top line player;
Facilities that provide good working conditions;
Confidence that injury management will be professional if needed;
A culture of camaraderie within the playing group:
Confidence that contract will be honoured;
Getting paid within 10-15% of nearest counter offer

A fair bit of work to do, but hopefully it started with the review and will continue.
A coach that doesn’t belong at Batemans Bay would help as well.

Amazing what good coaching can do at a quality club, further proving my point why a young player would stay at a strong club.

That's a fair call.
Players might get opportunities earlier at a struggling club either through poor form or injuries.
I made the point previously, Would certain players who have been given an opportunity at Parra this year be given the same opportunity if they were at a stronger club.. My answer is No..

We have a few really good quality kids coming through and im certain we will not keep them because stronger clubs are circling. Opportunities are great but players must be ready and up to the task.!
We are going to loose some players no doubt.
Good players will want out and search for opportunities elsewhere.
Struggling clubs are not attractive for new players. Specially young players. Even being offered overs is not enough to lure them to our club.
