Deflect deflect deflect, we are a rabble on and off the field. No other club would of gone close to the amount of incidents with have the last 5 or 6 years. BA is meant to be a hard arse but that couldn't be any further from the truth.

The thing is, I don’t think anyone can argue we have a good/strong culture. Perhaps it’s no worse than some other clubs, but when you’re already at a disadvantage rosterwise (due to a lack of TPAs) compared to the stronger clubs, a strong culture is one thing that can give you a competitive advantage with recruitment. I also believe it can have a positive onfield impact with everyone knowing their roles and egos are better managed.

Sadly, we are not even close to having a strong culture.

We are apparently looking to offload a player who everyone uses as a prime example of our bad culture ... yet at the same time the same people are saying what a mistake it is to offload that player

The thing is, I don’t think anyone can argue we have a good/strong culture. Culture is just buzz word excuse. If we win those 8 games that we were equal in tries or lost by a bees dick, it would not even be a topic of discussion.

As @parrathruandthru said, all these drug charges across all clubs are second strike detections or arrests. First strike drug issues are not even reported.

It’s the same in the AFL. Can we stop pretending that you need a squad of nuns to win a comp ?

Id rather we not panic and keep the squad we have not weaken it. Add Fergo,Lane,Jnr. Hope Brown and and Manu stay fit. And less injuries across top 20.

I highly doubt MJ,NORMAN,MOSES,EVANS will have as poor a seasons.They all played borderline reserve graders. They may not play elite but id back all to play atleast around 6-7/10. Most where 3-4/10 this season.

I would be very confident Alvaro will continue to improve as will Tepai and Terepo.
Hayne and Gutherson injury free will add a lot to this team. Both looked great the last 8 games.
Then we have the juniors starting to come through. Mahoney ,Kafusi and co will only get better.

Plus look at other teams.
Of the top 4 storm,sharks are coming to end of cycle.
Souths had far to many guys have what I call a golden year. And a new style. Lets see guys like Sutton,Inglis,G.Burgess,Cook back it up and thst new style being as effective.

Roosters look just as strong but they have a thin squad and been lucky. No injuries. I think there top 20 is all fit. Most clubs had 3 or 4 out.
Look at Saints. Imagine Widdop,Vaughn and Sims where fit along with Aitken. Not only do they win last night but they give the whole thingnone hell of a shake.
Take JWH,CORDNER,MANU,KEARY out. I doubt they win comp.
Lets see if Roosters get so lucky with injuries in 2019.

Panthers have the talent but play stupid footy. I dont see any other team as leagues above us. So I am very confidemt we can do some damage next season.

I am not nuthugging I am just being realistic.

A year like ours only makes a team learn. And players hungry.
Teams who bust gut and get knocked out in finals are at risk of not having intensity the next season and why team must start a new cycle. I dtill feel our guys put so much in last season and 2016 that a flat yesr was always going to come.

Actually the Panthers have to be very carefull.
4/5 years they been in same spot. Win a game in finals and blow the next game.
It seems a stagnation/pattern. Unless take next step they may implode.
