Why is everyone confident 2019 will be a terrible year?

I don't think it will. Why I want to know at what conditions do we extened BA?
If we finish 6th and win a finals game then get KO the following week?

It just seems very strange everyone seems to think we have a woefull squad.

Mahoney,Kaysa,Salmon,Kafusi,Niakuore,Tepai,Jnr ,Moses,Norman all have potential to jump up a few levels and be real suprise packets. I inckude Tepai,Moses and Norman cause all 3 are capable of being top 5 in their positions.

I'm trying to like it, 1-5 looks decent enough. After that, it slips into mediocrity. Plenty or ammunition for the DR's going backwards.

With so many off contract at the end of 2019, we’ll need to make a call on BA by mid season at the latest as the 2020 and beyond coach needs to be making the retention & recruitment decisions, we can’t wait to see BA steers us to the finals. Uncertainty in coaching won’t endear us to potential recruits, or help our on field results & performances

My opinion only, and take it for what it's worth. Compared to the other 15 clubs we have been a laughing stock from the front office down for some time now......no surprise there. If the front office finally gets their act together then we can expect far greater results. BA has made mistakes and has been glaringly shown up for those mistakes. In the end, BA has 2019 on his contract.......period. We can either all get behind him or white-ant (deathrider) him as coach. After that.....anybody's guess.

That's where Mark O'Neill comes in. If BA isn't in charge from 2020 onwards O'Neill should be making the decisions as to who we offer contracts to.

I'm sure the club will put out a press release of the support staff closer to the start of pre-season. Wilmot is still at the club, different role than what he had last year by the looks of it.

Pack is ok. Need 1 or 2 to step up. If Terepo keeps form and Alvaro gets just a little better and hope Tepai,Lane,Jnr step up.
