Why I want to know at what conditions do we extened BA?
Thing is, we'll need to make a decision long before the finals. Probably mid-season. Where's the cut off? There would need to be a cut off for definitely re-signing him, plus a cut off for signing a replacement for 2020. At some point both cut off points will converge. I reckon if we've won half our games by mid-year it will be a very tough decision. It would probably depend on other things by then, and hopefully we'd already be in negotiations with potential replacements.

I think BA has a lot going for him but NRL coaches should be the cream of the crop, and I don't think he is tactically.
Are there sixteen rugby league coaches in the world who are the 'cream of the crop'? No chance. In fact I'm certain Arthur is in the best sixteen rugby league coaches in the world.

So merkins will say that we need to have one of the top three (or whatever) coaches in the game at our club, but ask yourself this. Why the f**k would they want to coach at Parra? They want to be at the clubs with the most to spend. That includes TPAs to boost their squads with current and future Origin players.

I think more than 16 coaches could be described as cream of the crop. The problem is that it's harder for the cream to rise in league. I doubt very much we have the worst coach, but I'm sure there's someone better. Identifying that person is the difficult bit. And as you say, getting them to coach us is another hurdle. I'm not advocating chucking BA for that very reason. And the inevitable rebuilding.

I think you're absolutely right, and until we have the resources of some of the bigger clubs we will continue to win 11 games each year, plus/minus five games. Just like we've done every year since 2001.

Actually in 2013 we only won five.
So Eels aren’t one of the bigger clubs with resources??? So the Sharks are a bigger club than us with more resources??? I call bullshit, having a quality coach with people in charge with a clue is a big help.

What are you saying here? It's not clear.

" Half our games" LOL.
This is what we've come to expect from a pau who'll support just being mediocre, giving credit to just being average. Honestly, talk about accepting being an average joe team lol.
