Coaches are right up near the top of the food chain at their clubs - no excuses for things like this ... he has plenty of responsibility for having to do more tasks than he should have

It’s got nothing to do with BAs feeling on the HOF position. My point was he was doing recruitment duties beyond the duties he was employed for. If you are failing at a job above your pay grade, is it really your fault?

I don’t think he wanted it or asked for it. I do think his involvement was exaggerated by some punter on here

I'd say yes. At the end of the day your arse is on the line if you're not up to the task. If he was taking on too much then he should have put his hand up and said so. I see no evidence suggesting BA or the club were even talking about it.

Sorry Barry didn’t mean to unsettle you. I’m assuming here mate, but considering we had no defensive coach till well into the season, and it’s been stated several times BA was in charge of the cap. Amongst other things. Plus it’s been well documented the eels cut a lot of staff.


May I suggest you have a light English tea and a nap to settle you.

I don't dispute that he's in charge of the cap (it's pretty clear that he is). It's your assertion that he 'threw his hands up' for all of these roles. Have you considered the possibility that these were the terms of employment offered to him?
