At the end of next year he will have been coach here for six years. Only the very good coaches get deals longer than that. Is BA one of those?
Apples with apples but. Six years at the Broncos is vastly different than six years here after the clusterf**k years of Ricky and Bigface then the cap.

Not saying he should be renewed. 2018 was barely forgivable bordering on unforgivable.

No, I defended his attack and kicking game as being high quality. The reason he was such a shit player was purely because of his defence.

Was probably a negative influence as well.

Sorry, you're wrong. Sandow's attack was erratic and disorganised. His team mates often had no idea what he was doing, and he couldn't stick to a game plan. I'd argue that his attacking game was more of a liability than his defence.

Would Chad Townsend really be a step up from what we have now?
Apart from his long kicking game which was about 40% better than Norman's, his other key stats for 2018 were very similar. Oh and Norman's average run metres per game were nearly twice as much as Townsend's.

A 47% win record and a spoon say no.

Not to mention how horrible our attack has been since he got here despite having some of the best attacking players in the comp.

Sounds like our attack last season, was it all Sandow???

Or poor coaching??

I’d rather blood Brown and invest in him than give solid at best halfback option like Townsend.

Poor coaching is a factor but strike me pink those merkins are not U12s. The same (highly paid) team was competitive in 2017 but didn't turn up in 2018.

Well then we wouldn’t have scored many points. But I seem to recall us having no problem scoring points back then. We were just turnstiles in defence. And Sandow was the free entry day turnstile

In the 5 years before BA got here, our attack ranked 13th/15th/15th/14th/16th.
In the 5 years BA has been here, our attack has ranked 8th/11th/12th/8th/16th.

So 8th is the best we have done besides having some of the best attacking players in the comp?? And it would be hard to argue that BA has had a much more strike power in his teams than we had 5 seasons prior??

I think we are between a rock and a hard place.

If we recruited say Johnson or Townsend, who dont strike me as match winners, then what happens to Salmon and/or Brown ? Come 2020 they will want NRL action and perhaps at another club because if we do get one of these other halves, they wont sign for just 1 season. If Salmon or Brown replace them then we have a very expensive half playing for Wenty.

I dont think we have any choice other than to put up with Moses and Normie and see how they go and let their contracts run down and they can piss off in 2020 if they dont impress.

That is of course assuming Salmon makes it as a half, if he turns out to be a decent centre then we have a few prospects a year or so behind Brown to perhaps partner him in 2020.

What coach has had to deal with a 2016 type disaster?

Anyhow if we don’t perform next year BA will be gone.

I’m sure we have been around this merry go round at least 100 times.

If Pou responds, he’ll come back with stats that highlight how many tries Sandow’s teams scored during his time in the NRL.

It will highlight that a lot of those sides, particularly when he was at Souths showed no evidence of what you are suggesting. In fact, some of it points to some pretty f**ken impressive attacking prowess.

Overall, he was a shit player though because of his error rate, attitude and rubbish defence.

You don’t think BA has done monumental f ups?
