Fair point. It’s only the journo, Tep and Fergo who actually use the word culture. However, I reckon if you asked BA directly he’d say the efforts to improve the tightness of the group, developing a whole of club approach and leadership are all strategies to improve the club’s ‘culture’.

But you'll notice he actually gave specifics rather than use the buzzword.

None of us know what happened. All we know is that we were the last club he ever coached at. Hagan was the other who nobody else wanted after Parramatta.

I fairness to Hagan did he ever seek another NRL coaching job? He was an Assistant Coach for Queensland for a number of years. If I recall he quit due to the pressure of coaching.

I think Evans probably falls into the category of a player who looks better around good players or in a good team going well. A "downhill skier" is probably an appropriate term.

I think people are to inpatient with juniors.
Bevan will be 23. His 2017 and 2018 season never got going with injuries making it stop start. He deserves this season behind a better pack.
Marata is 22. Some guys only start NRL career at this stage.

And some don't become ready until 22 or older, Kikau comes to mind. Another the Cowboys let slip from their grasp, imagine their team with him and Ponga in it. Scary.
Imo in the past we've given up on players too early and never seen what they could be with good coaching and a bit more maturity. Lets hope our current crop coming thru, if they don't measure up straight away, are given a bit more time to adjust. Most are still under 20.

French is another. These players have a role to play in any team under a salary cap. It's why Storm players look worse just about anywhere else. In fact I suspect even Slater, Smith and Cronk would look ordinary at clubs like Parra or the Tigers.

Mate, I wouldn't be counting my chickens just yet. How long have you been a supporter? There has been way to many false starts. Any 30+ year old Parra supporter should be aware of that.

So far in the past 5 years Alvaro for mine has been the pick of the best juniors we've seen come through and as much as I have liked him since his junior years and he has come on just nicely for a front rower, one guy of good NRL standard is hardly making me net with excitement.

Lets just see, what happens in the next couple of years why don't we?

Oh I just thought of Junior Paulo. But wait...he doesn't count anyway cos he left the dirty merkin and besides his fat.

No bugger you Ram, I've already got these chickens pencilled into the NRL team, the eggs have hatched and I like what I've seen. There is plenty of potential in these juniors, all are big (really big forwards at around 115kg/backs around 100kg) with skill. They have good foundations and as I've stated we need a good coach to harness that potential to develop into good, no great, NRL players! Doubt BA is that man. On and upwards Parra!!!

Regarding Alvaro he didn't have the good foundations. Small and without skill but his positive he was full of dedication and never give up mindset. A player that wouldn't win a game for you but wouldn't lose one either. It has taken some time (too long imo) to get to a decent size (this off-season) and is now developing an offload. Is this because of Jimemez? If so we need to tie this guy up for a long, long time.

I like this concept. The younger players meet the NRL players, train together and play together to give the younger players the idea of what it takes to become a top line player. Great concept.
