French is our best fullback, imo.

And I think that's the answer to the question: 'what do we do with our alleged $800,000 cap space?'
We buy a fullback. Gutherson and Mennings would be a good enough centre pairing. If Moses can step up now that he quite literally is the main man in the halves, then all we need is a steady five eight with a good defensive game (could that be Salmon?) I think we need a fullback. Of course, if Moses doesnt step up, we'll come last again, so it doesnt really matter anyway.

On

Moses vs Norman - 1 extra game

Forced line drop puts - 17/21

Try assists - 10/12

LBAs - 6 / 10

Running meters - 51 / 85

Tackle effieceny - 78.5% / 76.2%

Average kick mtrs - 229 / 202

Fantasy points 37 / 39

Touches of ball 897 / 1065

Norman wins in all stats bat tackle efficiency anf kick meters. But he touched the ball 15-20% more. Bar running meters not stat is a huge difference.

The game is full of merkins, especially the top teams. If anything, clubs like Parra and the Tigers have too few of them.

Id love a grub. Why I wanted that Hethrington from Panthers. A real modern day grub. Mark my words. If he sorts out his penalties he will be a star.

We purchased well but still we lack grubs. I reckon Stone looks like a bit of one. Rest are all clean skins.

ON THE PROWL FOR YOUNG GUN

WHICH Gold Coast rugby teen prodigy caught the eye of Penrith Panthers supremo Gus Gould this year?

The Ball and All team were told Gus would pull out all the stops to get this whiz-kid in Panthers colours.

Penrith Panthers general manager Phil Gould. Picture: AAP Image We will see if something transpires. Penrith have already this year poached two up-and-coming league talents from the Coast in the form of brothers Brayden and Glenn McGrady.

What is going on with GL. It seems like he has gone behind in the pecking order to guys outside the top 30. Is there a way we can punt him?

#ignore @Gary Gutful
#ignore @Avenger

:) :)

My latest mail is:
1. Gutho
2. French
3. Mennings
4. Salmon or Parry
5. Ferguson
6. Moses
7. Brown

I know it is only early days in pre-season but this is what I am hearing may be the preferred back 7.
Will BA ever learn? French is not a winger but a fullback. Give Sivo one wing spot and give French 10 games there to prove himself and if he fails send him to reserves. Mennings is past it looking at last years performances for us and Tonga. Make Gutho and Salmon/Parry the centres. If French sacked at fb Gutho can go there with Salmon and Parry the centres.

Our huge problem is 2 of our spots are taken by nuffies, Gower and new recruit Andrew Davey. Another BA master stroke to bring a 27 yo journeyman into our top 30. No wonder we're a basket case. These 2 spots should have been given to our juniors or another recruit. How about Segeyaro, still unemployed, so may accept $250-300k and bring Parry in or promote Stefino into top 30.

No. I just want to show you guys how pro-active this man is. Maybe finding the next Kikau

FFS, so just like proactively recruiting the following youngsters:

Salmon
Brown
Mahoney
Schneider

another one of our potential new recruits also has a highlights package

Jed Edwards, the one from PBC, played in our Harold Matts team last year. I believe he's staying up in QLD to finish his schooling. The other is Cameron Bateup, who is in our Jersey Flegg this year.

Did you genuinely hear someone else say this or did you just watch the schoolboys games on Fox where it was stated that Parra had both Edwards and Bateup contracted?

Young halfback Bailey Biondi-Odo has been selected in Mal's emerging Origin 18s team.
