Offering huge money to Wade Graham is concerning in my opinion. It reflects a continuation of the poor choices made prior. I was hoping The Review and our new HOF would put an end to such short sighted signings. Apparently its SNAFU.

I reckon he’s worth $800k. So $1M is overs, but not by a lot.

He’s one of the top edge back rowers in the game, strong in attack and defense and is the captain of a strong club. No way they only offered 600 and no way he would have accepted it. 750-800 for sure.

Edge forward is the next most important position. High involvement in attack and defence, plus Graham plays 80 minutes and brings leadership. He also does a lot of playmaking off early ball.

The top halves signing contracts about now will be getting well over $1M.

Graham would be an excellent edition to our squad, but I don't think edge forward is our area of greatest need, so a million bucks is too much for us to fork out in that position.

I reckon Tepai and Lane have the potential to be as good this season.
Graheme I feel is in decline. Played Nrl from a very young age. I am sure he will still be very good but unsure he plays origin again.

Our offer for Graham was for 2020. The only edge player we have signed for 2020 is Lane. And none of our current edge players have or will have the play making abilities of Wade Graham. Our current edge forwards are pretty weak.

He’s a bigger, less skilled, less pantywaist version of Cartwright whereas Graham is a bigger, equally skilled, less pantywaist and more experienced, premiership winning version of Cartwright. I’m not a huge fan of Graham but I’d certainly expect him to be earning more than Kikau

Kikau brings something not any other 2nd rower in comp has. The guy was almost unplayable last season. Panthers dont play finals without him.
