The more I think about it Taka in centres apeals to me.
I also hope Sivo comes good. That would be a big backline.

Taka’s immobility comes from having to lug around his pea heart. The top teams largely do well thanks to their desire to get behind the ball in defence. You can’t carry guys who jog slowly back onside while their opposite number is sprinting 10 metres ahead of them (or Vave is FFS)

This.
His tardiness towards "the next play" is Takas biggest issue. BA told everyone 2 seasons ago Takas days as a centre were over. He trained the entire last pre season as a back rower. Then miracleously Takas back at centre in 2018. Massive disconnect.

Taka is also a walking brain fart, you can't carry blokes like him in your side and expect to be successful.

He started in the forwards and then got injured. When he came back into the side most of our centres were injured so he had to fill in. I dare say he'll be a backup centre for us this year as well. Most teams' backup centres are a bit ordinary.

I’m all for understanding the role of the back up but this isn’t a skill or experience problem, it’s straight up effort which every player needs to bring. Do I need to roll out the video of being outrun by Vave? There are no circumstances where that is acceptable

Yes while players like Hoffman get nil opportunities.

Let’s hope we don’t need him this year.
