They’re the pictures that prove Blake Ferguson did not fake a foot injury to cover up an alleged drug overdose.
Putting an end to the ugliest rumour in rugby league,
The Sunday Telegraph has obtained pictures of the
injured left foot that led to the Parramatta Eels recruit being hospitalised in December.
Ferguson allowed the picture to be published after being made aware of a widely distributed text message that claims he was hospitalised after overdosing while out on an off-season bender.
The Roosters premiership player was admitted to St George Hospital for foot surgery — not because of a substance abuse problem.
The Sunday Telegraph has also seen a copy of the medical report that outlines the injury and the surgery.
The nasty cut that saw Blake Ferguson admit himself to hospital on Christmas Day and then remain there for 10 days.
Ferguson cut his foot on a branch on December 20 and admitted himself to hospital on Christmas Day when the cut became infected with two strains of streptococcus. He underwent an operation and spent 10 days in hospital.

The NRL rumour mill went into overdrive with the defamatory text message going viral. The anonymous SMS seen by just about everyone in rugby league circles also alleged Ferguson had tested posted to cocaine. We have been assured there is no truth to any of the allegations in the text message.
Ferguson is expected to be fully fit for the Eels’ season opener against the Panthers on March 17.
