Centre options

Jennings x 2
Taka
Salmon
Hoffman
Gutherson
W.Smith
Parry
Ferguson

It isn't like we have one option ffs. If Bevan is killing it at Wenty in fullback and Gutherson isn't then it becime MJ + Gutherson.
Salmon may also kill it, while Parry may get a top 30 spot and break out. If we had 2 recognised centres it blocks the path for Salmon and Parry. You can't have both, good young juniors wanting a chance AND 2 established played who are keeping spots aslong as fit.
Round one you go with MJ and Taka. But by round 3 or 4 Salmon,Parry,Hoffman or JG may move into centres. Heck SIVO maybe too good to keep out of the NRL side and is pushed onto wing.
Hindy has gone full Hugger.

Guth is the only proven centre option of those and we need him at fullback. Oh and lol @ Will smith.

So we should release Parry and Salmon now? I am unsure what your wanting.
We have MJ and Taka. But Salmon looks ready. We also have options if injuries. I mentioned them. How many clubs have better one?
W.Smith is just an option at centre to fill in. Ferguson coukd end up there with Sivo,Dunster or Parry on wing. Bevans form maybe to hot to leave out of firsts.
If we signed a long term centre thn Salmon doesnt play any nrl this year bar injuries.

Yeah we have Taka, we are flush with centre options. Oh and Will Smith the best utility back on the known universe.

Well since you insist on being made to look foolish...

Our win record with Takairangi at centre is 53%. Our record over the same period without him at centre is 32%

LOL YEA BUT you didn't recognize that whilst Taka was at centre he had the best winger in the world outside him. And the percentage dropped because there obviously was no Semi Radrandra in 18 whilst Taka was used as a utility.

Look at who's the dummy now
LOLLLLLLLL GO PAU PAU.....

I'll also point out that BA created this situation, this roster is his and his alone, so he can still be called a deadshit if it doesn't work out.
I’ll also point out that the roster wouldn’t be the one BA wants but the one he could obtain considering restraints such as available players, players willing to sign, salary cap restrictions and the lack of TPAs. Doesn’t mean he hasn’t made mistakes, I’m sure he has but how many of them could be identified before the fact?

He’s rubbish at all of them, full Hugger.

Not true. He is average at all of them. I wouldn't want him in my top 13 at start of season or whilst everyones fit. Top 17 he makes a case but most likely a very handy top 30 squad member who can fill in the odd game here and there.

Loosen the grip.

A shit strategic decision. 2001 could’ve been same result and vice versa. And yes BA was the main proponent of that decision. But can’t we all just agree that last year it was a shit roster, the year before was a good roster and hopefully it will be this year

Definitely. Last year is over now. I'd still love a change of coach next year, but I'm also now full of hope that this year will be better. (It's a strange feeling that comes over me at the start of every season. It's the curse of being a Parramatta fan.)
