A shit strategic decision. 2001 could’ve been same result and vice versa. And yes BA was the main proponent of that decision. But can’t we all just agree that last year it was a shit roster, the year before was a good roster and hopefully it will be this year
I'll also point out that BA created this situation, this roster is his and his alone, so he can still be called a deadshit if it doesn't work out.

Well it's not like Paulo would defend any worse there than Taka. Plus his attack would be even better
I dare say our ‘best 17’ includes two blokes who can defend at centre. Takairangi does that better than Ma’u.
I'd prefer him running at fullbacks
