Labelling all criticism of the team, the players, the coach, as 'deathriding' is not exercising free speech. It is an attempt to lampoon and shut down free speech. Also constantly arguing against every little piece of criticism just perpetuates the whole thing. But you already knew that.

Deathrider was actually just a response to the nut.hugger shit that started.

There was a period where if you weren’t savaging BA and you were calmly pointing out circumstances that didn’t fit a certain narrative then you were labelled one. Last check I think Gronk was the king of the nut.huggers but myself, Pou and even Strider have had the honour for a while.

Does it make the deathrider label right? Of course not, but given the situation it’s an understandable retaliation.

Also, I still don’t think the use of deathrider has been as prevalent as the word nut.hugger. One of the words has actually been changed by mods because it’s use was so annoying (and it’s doesnt start with ‘d’).

That said, the one thing we can agree on is ‘bring on the football’. Once that starts everything else is irrelevant.

Maybe its the photos but his arms look tiny. Parry certai ly looks much more of a physical specimen as does the Sivo.

Parry is up around 100kg so a big back, apparently not a bad centre also and we're very skinny there. Worth having on the books to see how he goes.

It's true his form was very good at the time, but I don't think it's necessarily because he was playing fullback. I suspect he'll always be one of these players who don't quite have a specialist position, but for me, he would be more suited to centre than anywhere else. Having said that, he certainly won't be rubbish at fullback.

Every backline position he'd be good at (except winger) as he has the skills and passion, he just doesn't have enough skill to be the best at whatever position he plays. That is why I think his best position is centre.

Its a trial ffs. An experiment to see how fringe fg's perform and to get the team gelling. A guide only to future performance but with this heat will it tell us anything?

Remember last year (grrrrrr!) we slaughtered Knights in trial and our year turned out shit, so no guide to form. If anything it gave us false confidence which quickly evaporated after the first 35 mins of the season. Would prefer we lost so they'll try harder when season commences.

I believe he played in the halves for the Kellyville Bushrangers when he was 15. Great game sense, strong defender and as you said runs a nice line. Was very disappointed when I heard he was heading to the dogs, thought he was our strongest prospect on the edge for that age group.

Anyone know what's happening to Filia, Stefino's brother, who broke his neck last year. Is he still training with squad and has he received medical clearence? Apparently was highly touted as a junior.

If you are going to push the free speech barrow, you can't just have some free speech and not others.

Death rider has been used on here for years to describe a select few posters who were always miserable and never posted anything positive or even rational. Their opinions were based in nothing but their own biases and never had any evidence to support them, and they would attack anyone who disagree or pointed out the flaws. Like Glenneel. It isn't anything to do with free speech. But you already knew that
