Probably won't be announced until after both Souths and Parra's season is over is what I'm guessing.

Anyone know if Jamal could be an option of training through the off season and becoming our hooker for 2017? He is very versatile and from what I've seen a good defender. We all know he can playmake well at Cup level, in fact he is one of the best. We all know he is a gun goal kicker too.
Just a thought, but COULD he be a quality hooker option..?

Anyone know if Jamal could be an option of training through the off season and becoming our hooker for 2017? He is very versatile and from what I've seen a good defender. We all know he can playmake well at Cup level, in fact he is one of the best. We all know he is a gun goal kicker too.

If he's such a good attacker (and given his small size) then defence is almost certainly what has led to him being stuck on a non-NRL contract this year. In that case hooker is the last place you want him defending.

I watched the 1st half so far of the QLD cup game from Wednesday on Fox.

Really hard to gauge what kind of player he is TBH. Even though he's No.7 he only got his hands on the ball on the 5th tackle cos the hooker just dished it one out to the pigs. He would not get the pill every set either cos the 5/8th that Manly signed was a bit of a hog.

Early on he put up a shit bomb which came off the side of his boot. He followed the ball across to the midfield and regathered it after it bounced. He then chipped over the top of the FB and winger, regathered and scored.

He strikes the ball nice, looks like a good GK technique.

Agree that he did not look like an organiser, but TBH the Burleigh Bears don't look all that organised ! Their game plan is pretty much - here have a run mate.

These guys are part timers. They don't have dozens of hours a week to practice a complex game plan.

Pleased about re signings, tho not overly excited as we all knew they were happening, I need new signing announcement because quite frankly if we are left with current side with no recognised hooker, half and lesser degree fullback we will struggle next year, so let's get "fairdinkum" and make some announcements and not worry bt the obvious.

Mate just spitballing as I don't know much about him and we seem to be looking at halves still and not much talk about hookers.
Wondering if BA is gunna add one or thinks we have what we need is all.
