There are a couple of photos of training this week on the official site that suggest Gutherson might be attacking outside French on the right hand side of our shape.

Yeah I saw that. Good opportunity to give it a try.

Could also have been Gutherson attacking at centre in that pic (maybe with Takairangi at right half) but normally our centres hold their width. I dunno. That's Lafai's side of the field and he likes to jam in.

Out of that QLD cup game the only half I thought had much of a future was Croft the Tigers 7.

Fogarty looked like he had the right attitude, and I got the feeling it was a quiet game from him as well just from the commentators. He certainly seems to have some skills.

Manly have a good'un with Cullen IMO, he looked the best half in that game. Croft was explosive, but Cullen was a general. I think there were three potential NRL halves out there, but they all need a low of work. Anyone who thinks Fogarty should start at 7 next year is well off the mark, barring a miracle pre-season

Agreed, Cullen might be a nine IMO, it's hard to tell from one game but Croft is just 19 and looked to have the most time and poise.

But as you say Jamal might of had a quiet game, it's hard to tell from one game.

Beau Scott has been one hell of a signing... Costly though!

Happy with Brown if it gets over the line. As mentioned by most, we need a bit mongrel in the pack and he has it in spades.
