Pritchard reminds me of a more injury prone Api Koroisau....the potential is there, but the dude's gotta harden up injury wise.
Api is twice the player Kaysa will ever be, the only buy Manly made this season that wasn't a bust.

Of course manly's side was f**ken good!! Just making the point while Gutherson / French are rookies, it's not different to the rookies manly had in 2011. Gutherson / French have probably shown as much / if not more then what Cherry did pre 2011.

But really until we know who our Normans half partner is going to be, we really have no idea.
Comparing us to one of the better and more balanced GF winning teams of the last decade is absolutely laughable. We haven't played finals football going onto nearly a decade. We have a good coach and the nucleus of a decent side but still have plenty of holes in the squad.

Well this to me proves we are going after a big name elsewhere. How exciting.
We would of had in excess of 1.5 mill.
And if anything de goia would cost less now than this year.
So to me it says we will sign a half who will cost 500-600K.....

Any news on Manu extending?

I am suprised we gave Isacc 2 yrs. If it was one year id say he is a back up. But 2 says he is the main man.
De gois is tough and a professional.Offer nothing in attack thou. King or Kaysa would work well off bench with de gois for 45 mins a game.

Unfortunately most of the best attacking hookers are poor defenders. If you have to choose (and we clearly do, since we don't have one of the top all round hookers) you're better off with a good defender.
The thing is though, we could have chosen players with better attack and similar missed tackles per game. Farah (1.0 in 2016), Wallace (2.4 in 2016) and Segy (2.8 in 2016 and 2.9 in 2015) come to mind. Baptiste (1.8 in 2015) also had lower missed tackles per game last year than IDG does this year (2.7).

We could have made a choice to upgrade our hooker but we haven't (yet). If we go into 2017 with IDG and Kaysa then I think that we've underestimated the need for a quality 9.

I did forget about Segs, actually. He'd be an absolute winner.

Bapiste is no better than what we have tbh, you could interchange him with Clydesdale in that Raiders side and lose nothing. Farah is cancer

Looking at Baptiste's stats for last year when he was starting, they're actually not as strong as I thought. However they are still much better than IDG's this year. He had 2 tries, 2 try assists, 4 line breaks and 2 LBAs in only 16 games. This year IDG has 1 try, 2 try assists, 2 LBAs and 0 line breaks in 20 games.

Foran's off field issues never hurt his footy before. Watmough ended up costing f**k all under the cap, and we don't know how much Jennings is on. He is probably on overs, but he has massively improved our left side defence.

As for De Gois, I'm sure he's cheap enough that he won't stop us picking up a better hooker if one comes available.
There are plenty of better hookers available so there's no "if" about it. Let's wait and see if IDG does stop us picking one up.

Not surprised Pou already spinning the positives of signing the worst starting dummy half in the comp for two more years.

Missed tackles per game is an extremely vague statistic. Missed tackles per tackle and tackles per minute are far more relevant.

I also think that if we're planning to use two hookers in the 17 we will carry an extra one in the 25. Just like we did this year.

I don't think there's value carrying 3 hookers in the top 25. If one of your two hookers gets injured for a few weeks, the other hooker should be able to play most of the game with someone in the 17 covering for a short stint. If it's a long term injury you bring in your back up from the second tier (what IDG should be)

I'd round out the bottom 8 in the top 25 with 3 middle forwards, 2 edge forwards, a half and 2 outside backs.

So why do you reckon we re-signed him? Because the coach has no idea?

No doubt we signed him becasue he is cheap. He is also crap. For some reason BA places little importance to the dummy half position even though all the top teams have very good or great 9s and we will again rival Newcastle as having the worst hookers in the comp next year.
