If someone offers stupid money we shouldn't match it
If it came down to a measly 50k I think most fans would be rightly irritated that we didn't hang on to arguably our most valuable player...
Euphemism???It was rhetorical.[/Q
We seemed to survive ok when Hayne decided to leave. And let’s be realistic, gutho isn’t in Hayne’s league.
I wonder if you thought our performance in 2015 was "ok" at the time?
I'd suggest that, in many important ways, Hayne isn't in Gutho's league...
I THINK WE SHOULD F**KEN PANIC!!!!!
More research required.Even the king has taken to social media, insinuating he could be at another club.
Many suggest gutho isn’t a fullback and are probably right. Well not a naturally talented one.
Would you of thrown $750k at gutho 6 games ago?
Relax, fella. That post was from fan account @kinggutho. When @clintongutherson posts it then we PANIC!!!
I f**ken love Gutho and what he brings to the team in attitude, temperament, and willingness to do the dirty work - between him and Fergy you can see the infectiousness it is having and the difference between 2018 and 2019 speaks volumes.f**k I love Gutho... Who's with me??
That Xerri merkin went past him like he was standing still.Gutho without his previous injury history would no doubt easily command the 700k mark. But there's no doubt he has slowed, and is now at more risk of re-injury.
For mine the 550-600 is fair as the club would be taking a risk.
Speed is one major attribute that a fullback must have, along with safety and good d.
As we've seen Gutho in open space will almost always be chased down.
That Xerri merkin went past him like he was standing still.
f**k I love Gutho... Who's with me??

That Xerri merkin went past him like he was standing still.
“I’m leaving it up to Sam” means he wants every last dollar he can get and he doesn’t give a f**k how unethical and ruthless Sam has to be to get it.I f**ken love Gutho and what he brings to the team in attitude, temperament, and willingness to do the dirty work - between him and Fergy you can see the infectiousness it is having and the difference between 2018 and 2019 speaks volumes.
I do not love the attempts by his manager (his chosen representative) to screw us for every possible dollar and the immoral way he is playing this out via the media. IF (and it's a big IF) Clint is actually aware of the offers and has instructed his manager to keep pushing then my love for Gutho dissipates somewhat.
Shouldn't the process be that the player and manager decide how much they want (like any seller) and then the club as the buyer says yes or makes a counter-offer? Why is it up to the club to make the initial offer as seems to have been the case here? That is never going to be enough while there are greedy player managers (and sometimes players) involved who will always think "if they are offering me $X surely they will go to $Y".
Yeah I know...I love Gutho but if he goes, then f**k his eyes.
