I liked the gap he hit for Dylan Brown's try against the Dogs. He's quick. Good size for a centre too, and I reckon he's a good enough defender already.

Don't forget he was training at centre in the pre-season but while he was suspended we won a few games and Takairangi got the jump on him. Then Drown was stood down, meaning Salmon was needed in the halves.

Yeah he may end up a decent prospect, but we’d be crazy if we lost both current centres and just pinned all our hopes on salmon. Anyways have a happy Easter everyone. God bless.

He has a point, though - the club expects the players to keep putting in, and the coach may or may not be offered a contract in two months' time...

I agree with what the club are trying to do, but I certainly understand Hooper's point of view.

I didn’t read the article, but it’s a crisis if we offered him (BA) a deal last year, it’s a crisis if we offered him a deal before a ball is kicked and it’s a crisis if we’re holding out till June. The players don’t dictate who the coach is, nor should they. After an abysmal 2018 the clubs retention committee wants to ensure they make the right call. If the eels go on to feature in this years semis, and resign the bulk of off contract players, are any of the media outlets going to backtrack?

Apparently the general consensus is that Dylan Brown will not be back this season, hopefully lesson learnt in regarding his million dollar man comment, albeit a hard one, and hopefully a humbling one. In saying that I think will struggle big time with Salmon at 6!

Dylan's one of the nicest kids in our system, always has time for a chat. But typical of Parra fans to instantly turn on him for making an off the cuff comment that has been taken out of context massively.

If they’re off contract they have no choice but to put in.
Common sense says yes Poo but the mental side of potentially being unemployed could have a greater impact. I recall that season where we had but to win one of our last two games to make the semis yet folded like a cheap suit. Coulda woulda, shoulda.

If there's any truth to it (and obviously that remains to be seen) I think it would be a bad and puzzling decision to sit Brown out for the season, unless the injury is worse than first diagnosed and has actually progressed to stress fractures.

Different sport and different exercise approaches, but you saw what that approach did to some of our bowlers over the years. Pat Cummins was being rested more than he was playing and it actually worsened his issues. If you're not strengthening it once recovered against the rigours of playing then it will just break down when you do

What’s his injury to be out the entire season?

Every pack is out-muscled when they don't get any ball. in fact bigger packs fade quicker when possession goes against them.

You do realise that our error rate was horrendous and almost all our own doing? That comes down to lack of detail and concentration, which means in a nutshell they didn't play well. So of course they will get out muscled.

Like I said, we need to play really well tomorrow. I'm sick of our players not measuring up when there is great expectation. If they can't do it, then they don't deserve new contracts and to wear the blue and gold.
