Of course on his form $500k is massive overs. But it has been rumoured the Knights are happy to let me go and also pay some of his contract as well.

Obviously it's a risk and who knows if he is mentally/physically up to playing NRL. But he was available for something around $200k, he could maybe be worth the risk. He can play.

I actually think it makes sense for us to chase a winger.

I do if gutho's plays 6.otherwise a backup winger. No point getting sio for say $250k as our other side winger and centre would be costing us $1.1M + combined

None of them will stay where they are for significant unders. The ones who don't re-sign are holding out for bigger offers but fan backlash will all target the coach/administrators: "WHY HASN'T HE BEEN LOCKED IN ALREADY?!?!?"

If the Titans are playing well there is no reason why their crowds won't stay healthy.

All the really good players should get locked in before they are really good. At minimum when they are just entering good stage, ideally they'll be in the utter shit stage. That said it's not like the shit players don't get overs.

Y'all talking about Hayne and im just happy we've got Vave, the guy is a machine. Hopefully we get brown and a half back. A hooker is also needed but IDG is a solid cover till then, he may not be flashy or fast but he plays with heart and does what he needs to do.

But I agree, happy with the signing of Vave for two years to add some impact to our middle, and we need to get another decent level signing for our spine - half, hooker or fullback - to help us be contenders in 2018.

Agree. If the 7,000 crowd drop for Hayne's second home game is down to other things being on at the Gold Coast (as has been claimed), then imo there's not much hope for hot and cold Hayne's pulling power in a fickle sporting market in nine month's time.

You're being a bit dishonest with your maths bart. The 7000 drop is only from Hayne's incredibly high base on debut. The Titans' average home crowd is still significantly higher with Hayne this year than without. Sure two games is a very small and unreliable sample, but it at least supports his drawing power rather than providing evidence against.

I'm glad we didn't sign Hayne but let's not pretend he isn't one of the highest profile athletes Australia has ever produced.
