Rumours and Stuff

The reactions here are exactly why our club is shit.

We demand they be ruthless and then when they are we tell them how disappointed we are.

He is 31 and at the end of his career, Bennett is renowned for this stuff and how many premierships has he won compared to us?
Completely and utterly agree. I’d have maybe been sentimental a few years ago. Not any more. We’ve been utter horseshit for way too long. Hard decisions have been made and it’s Tim who has made the call. I wish him well, but it’s well and truly time to move on and improve.

He would've earnt about $2M before his 30th birthday. His family are set no matter what he does.
Ummm living in Sydney mate...different ball game. He will need to continue to work..not everyone has done well or been wise enough to establish themselves financially prior to retirement. Plus Timmy doesn't strike me like the kind of player media outlets will be fighting over his services for

I would think that we would have to move on a player of our own if we're looking at Blake before 30 June. Either that or we can release Pritchard some how.
Apparently on another site reported Mannah going to W-T next week.

Wonder how many of the other 13(?) players off contract will find clubs?

Arthur is not the one making the decisions. If it was up to Arthur Norman would have stayed.

Moeroa will now be the players eligible fot discount.

Alvaro has another year due to an option in his favour.

Gurr & O'neill have full control of recruitment & are calling the shots. It was obvious ba didn’t know what he was doing & it was obvious in 2018 when his short term view hit the fan

So Gurr / Oniell, now pick the sides each week? So they decided to drop Mannah?

So it wasn’t BA’s decision to let Norman go:

"It doesn't need to be said what we've spoken about. We're fine. We've still got a very good relationship," Norman said on Sky Sports' Big Sports Breakfast on Tuesday.

"He said, 'Look after Corey Norman'. So there you go. We've had a discussion and he said, 'Do what's best for you'."

From August last year, pretty clear BA told Norman he wasn’t in his plans. All before the review and appointment of O’neill.

But he does strike me as the type of person charities and NFPs would kill for. May not pay top dollar but he’s set himself early. And what’s living in Sydney got to do with it? General economy is same throughout Australia? Property more expensive here but he’s been here through multiple cycles and I remember an article he sold his house at a “loss”, but really unless he’s chopping and changing in different cycles, or getting screwed then he really hasn’t lost that much over time

The club could say no but do you reckon that's fair on Timmy? I'm sure the club would love to give him a proper send off but Tim has asked for the release. It's like any job, if your time is coming to an end you grab the job that is available now rather than wait just so you can have some farewell sausage rolls and a signed card.

Yeah i know, but if he wasn't dropped in the 1st place does it pan out this way?
Don't get me wrong I do want to see the Club get stronger & was a big advocate of them not caving into Gutho's demands.
However a) i am starting to question if BA's contract renewal was for the best and
b) am still disappointed to see Tim leave mid season & am a little over the musical chairs of the NRL in general.
