Honestly, without illegal TPAs we were probably unable to keep Norman if we still had Foran on the books. Not if we wanted a balanced team.

And this is an important feature of spine players that many fans overlook. They need to be highly involved, which is why they are often smaller. This is the main reason why Billy Slater outperformed Hayne at fullback despite Hayne being a better player in most (every?) other facet - Slater was involved on nearly every play, whereas Hayne tends to follow any involvement (even just a support run with no possession) with a rest.

Eels Announce Another TWO Signings

Parramatta have managed to land another two signings, with Fox Sports and Triple M's James Hooper revealing that George Jennings (Panthers) and Nathan Brown (Souths) are making the move to the Eels next year.
