Not really when you think about value for money. He apparently is on around 8-900K, gets injured way to often, and can't manage a game consistently. He is mentally weak in regards to being praised and when expected to be the game winner.
I heard Newton once explain it. He hates the spotlight and expectation put on him once the media start putting wraps on him when he strings a few great performances together. The nerves get to him.
If he was worth that sort of coin, he would of steadied that team, and led those players to some decent victories this year. Look at our team, With one makeshift half, Gutho, he has enough in him, mentally and energy wise to instill confidence in the rest of that playing group to win a few. Remember our team, granted is better across the park then the Knights, has no recognized kicker. The Knights have at least two. And as we all know, kicking is massive and can turn bad sets into great sets and games to your favour.
Mullo and Hodko are seasoned halves with the type of credentials and pay packets that should be able to stand and deliver so to speak. That is what that team of young players is looking for. Someone to tell them what to do out there. Point to the spot, yell the instructions, but most of all deliver that great pass, play, or kick that turns the game in your favour.
Instead, these guys go out there, are plucky for 20mins or so and then their half generals, have done very little, and the opposition grow and grow in confidence, while theirs is shrinking by the second and voila, game over.
Great halves lift average teams, they are being paid like great halves, but delivering average performances.
If they were both being paid around 350-400k fine but they are not.
