Im not sure BA is making recruitment decisions now days but granted he is the type of player BA would like. You reckon a 93 year old could average 97 running metres a game? Not elite but not terrible either. His defence is good and he is a tough merkin. It wouldn’t be a terrible signing and I can see why BA would be interested, in light of the make up of our squad.
He would certainly be involved in the recruitment and retention committee.Im not sure BA is making recruitment decisions now days but granted he is the type of player BA would like.
JWH and Fifita are 1 bad tackle away from being sat down for a long time.I also would knock on the Sharks door and enquire about Fifita.
Recruitment meeting starts...He would certainly be involved in the recruitment and retention committee.
Not much on the market in the back row though.
Have to assume the club has a plan given the loss of Ma'u but it's hard to see what it might be given the options available.
I’d be going after JWH before any other prop. He is exactly what we need. Would turn 31 next year. Still has 2 to 3 years left and would be ferocious up front for us.
Which is prob why we might be able to snag RCG.Ivan wants him at Penrith
Imagine the lump in Sterlos pants if we sign Plod Jackson??? He’s in love with his ploddiness.
I reckon he’s a decent first grader but nowhere near rep quality. Depends on the price tag i suppose. But you are right the total opposite of what Mau offers us.So is this forum apparently.
The opposite of what we want to replace a guy like Ma'u with IMO

I don't necessarily disagree. At least not entirelyIf they are looking at Jackson, I think the club is taking quite a balanced view to be honest.
We have some exciting young forward prospects still to come through to the top grade such as Stefano and if he makes it also Salesi. But these guys need a level-headed leader in the pack, someone we have all been saying we have been missing for years. Niukore in my opinion doesn't offer what we need for the full 80 mins on the right edge and can come on as the 'explosive' runner from the interchange bench.
Jackson may not be as exciting as some of the other edge forwards out there like Kikau and even Murray, but he will play a consistent and reliable role, provide the much needed leadership our pack needs and tighten up our edge defence. These are all good things.
If we had a pack of RCG, Paulo, Welch, Lane, Evans, Brown, Niukore, Alvaro, Jackson every week in our top 17 we wouldn't have the worst defence in the comp and our attack would be as good as it has been this year.
