You reckon a 93 year old could average 97 running metres a game? Not elite but not terrible either. His defence is good and he is a tough merkin. It wouldn’t be a terrible signing and I can see why BA would be interested, in light of the make up of our squad.
Im not sure BA is making recruitment decisions now days but granted he is the type of player BA would like.

I also would knock on the Sharks door and enquire about Fifita.
JWH and Fifita are 1 bad tackle away from being sat down for a long time.
Much rather get RCG and Welch. Time on their side. Both rep players and only going to get better...RCG going into the origin series last yr was one of the best props in the game. Think he's coming back into top form too...

He would certainly be involved in the recruitment and retention committee.
Recruitment meeting starts...

Bernie: Come on in, Brad. You want a coffee?
BA: Thanks. Coffee sounds good.
Bernie: It's just down the hall. I'll have one too since you're going.

BA returns...

Bernie: Thanks mate. We're done here so you can have that in your office. I'd you've got anything to add don't hesitate to shoot me an email. Keep up the good work.

If we could snag any 3 of the listed players below I would suggest that our ruck issue would be a thing of the past. All great signings at the right price. Then all we would need to address is that pathetic one out running we do so much of.

So is this forum apparently.

The opposite of what we want to replace a guy like Ma'u with IMO
I reckon he’s a decent first grader but nowhere near rep quality. Depends on the price tag i suppose. But you are right the total opposite of what Mau offers us.

He's worth about 200k.

And I still would like to sign someone else instead/as well who actually knows what attack is

If they are looking at Jackson, I think the club is taking quite a balanced view to be honest.
We have some exciting young forward prospects still to come through to the top grade such as Stefano and if he makes it also Salesi. But these guys need a level-headed leader in the pack, someone we have all been saying we have been missing for years. Niukore in my opinion doesn't offer what we need for the full 80 mins on the right edge and can come on as the 'explosive' runner from the interchange bench.

Jackson may not be as exciting as some of the other edge forwards out there like Kikau and even Murray, but he will play a consistent and reliable role, provide the much needed leadership our pack needs and tighten up our edge defence. These are all good things.

If we had a pack of RCG, Paulo, Welch, Lane, Evans, Brown, Niukore, Alvaro, Jackson every week in our top 17 we wouldn't have the worst defence in the comp and our attack would be as good as it has been this year.

Doesn’t Blake play on the same side as Manu?

I reckon with Blake there, we don’t need a edge player with the same attacking skill set as Manu, Blake is a great attacking player and there is only so much ball that the edges can get.

Yes it would nice to get another “attacking” player similar to Manu, but we really don’t want to spent “big” on a replacement. A solid edge defender at a reasonable price (maybe with a pass) would be a good option.

I wouId actually look at Salmon as an option, if we can’t find anyone.

I don't necessarily disagree. At least not entirely

I just don't rate the player they may have chosen very highly and would look elsewhere myself. But I'm not the one running the club
