I must say that if Fifita was thinking about staying with the Broncos after that performance and what has gone on since Sunday, he’d have to have second thoughts surely. That game was the ultimate sell to Fafita. It’s hope more hope than anything but what a way to sell us to a player (any player). After that game maybe Fafita would have change of heart and consider us. For the good of his footy. Brisbane won’t be challenging for anything and we all know how long claw outs take. If Jack Bird is cleared medically, he would be a good option to make an offer to the broncos and get another player paid for by another club.

He wouId be a good option for the vacant edge spot. He also offers our pack another body shape which is different.

And Bird can break tackles.

Matterson yes but Fifita would probably want $650-800k while Matterson / bird would probably be worth around $500k (assuming broncos top up birds contract) - That is better value.

Not sure I'd pay 500k for Matterson, If you could get Fifita at 650 you'd snap him up, but he'll be a lot closer to the 800k if we believe quoted prices for other forwards.
