I have to admit, so was I. Would liked to have avoided any conjecture this time next year. Ah well, he’s here for two more seasons at a minimum. Good stuff. Was hoping till 2022 at least.

Lets hope he has a sh*t year so we can extend him on the cheap.Seems strange it’s only an extra year which means this comes around again in 12 months.
Surely a 2 year extension would have been better. His manager probably feels he’ll improve and increase what he can command by the end of next year
I really hope he plays Ron Massey Cup next year.... That would be good business for us in the long runLets hope he has a sh*t year so we can extend him on the cheap.
Then you're an edge hookerWhat if you play dummy half in attack, stand between the two props in the scrum, but defend on the wing?
I've had better....Then you're an edge hooker
Absolute f**king BARGAIN!! Talk about back up depth.I really hope he plays Ron Massey Cup next year.... That would be good business for us in the long run
That's the type of business acumen we have been looking for !Lets hope he has a sh*t year so we can extend him on the cheap.
Next step is making pay cuts against bloke's not even on our books... That's the dream... How much could we save?!Absolute f**king BARGAIN!! Talk about back up depth.
Genius!! We could end up with a Roosters like Cap!!Next step is making pay cuts against bloke's not even on our books... That's the dream... How much could we save?!
Is the CEO position still available? That's the type of business acumen we have been looking for !
People say it is healthy but it is full of sugar so I donno. Is ginger beer healthy as made the same way?
Matto could be our Wade Graham if we sign him.
Matto next year and Fafita for 2021 would do me. Not greedy at all am I??I was just thinking the same; his skill set is very close to Ma'u's (ball-playing, plenty of pace, and versatility).
He would be a very good like-for-like replacement for Ma'u.
My take on the situation when he was last at Parra was that at the age of 20, having played the bulk of his career in the halves, when he was faced with advice/direction that his future wasn't in the halves, as he wasn't finished growing and filling out his frame.... He cracked it, looked elsewhere... Fair enough.... But history shows Parra's judgement was spot on. He's carved out a near rep career as a forward.I was a real fan of Matterson when he was in the 20s
He obviously had enormous skill and potential. He then fell off the face of the earth at our club. Surely it couldnt have been that there was a Mexican stand off between him and the senior coach. I guess the great news is that he found his way back and that would not have been an easy road. For some of the negativity thats been written I think his determination is something to be admired. Its great to see potential realised. Probably a bit of maturity as well. Fingers crossed he comes home and kills it.
