Canberra to TIO was a good decision - cold to warm climate, long travel, minimal Raiders fans. Taking the broncos to darwin is totally the opposite. The eels management must have bowed to Darwin's demands.

There are probably more reasons why they are taking this particular game than just to annoy hindy.
It’s the Friday night Nine game to start with. You reckon Nine had zero say over the decision? I’m sure Nine would’ve loved to telecast notoriously highrating Tits but we forced them to have Boncos.

And in actual fact, the club has only very minimal effect on draw. We would have told NRL we’re contracted to take 1 game to Darwin, requested it to be in a particular timeframe and perhaps asked for specific opponents.
