BRONCOS BARGAIN: MEAD’S HUGE PAYCUT
Brisbane have snared a bargain.
The club’s newest recruit, David Mead, has cost them less than $150,000 for 2017.
It’s a saving of more than half of what Mead was earning at the Titans with his deal in 2016 believed to be worth around $330,000 a season.
By agreeing to just a one-year contract, it has kept the door ajar for the 27-year-old to pursue lucrative options in rugby overseas.
Manly did.Mead is terribly overrated. I can't see any club offering more than $150k
Does anyone care to provide the rest of the story around Parra and Foran parting ways?
Mental health issues, allegedly missing scheduled appointments, stripped captaincy and requesting a release has to be much less than the full story.
Parra not wanting $1.2m locked up was known prior to actually signing him.
Meh very meh.
Not excited at all.
F**k that. You ever tried doing that commute?Do we know that for sure? And if so do we know how much more they offered? By going to the Broncos Mead doesn't even need to move house.
But it wasn't locked up until the NRL decided to include it under the cap, which happened after he was signed.Does anyone care to provide the rest of the story around Parra and Foran parting ways?

He will probably stay in Brisbane on 'school nights'.F**k that. You ever tried doing that commute?
So you reckon he became too expensive once we couldn't rort... Or something to that effectBut it wasn't locked up until the NRL decided to include it under the cap, which happened after he was signed.
So notional value seems to go out the window again when it comes to the Bronco's????I'm shocked
