How do we conflate the being with the doing? If you identify as heterosexual it doesn't entitle you to have sex with women. Likewise being gay and having sex with men. They are not the same thing.

If you're heterosexual you are entitled to have sex with men and women, if you're a hetero male you just can't let other males have sex with you. ( Unless there's plausible deniability ).
