On the NRL podcast this morning they were saying that Harry Grant's loan deal to WTigers is such that Storm have a certain tine to take up hus option for 2021. If they don't he's on the market. Will be interesting to see if Camillions goes around next year and if Storm can afford to have Grant on their books. If not he'll be one of the hottest players on the market.

They’ve still got Brandon Smith, so will be fine either way.

How good is this guy. Wow for a rookie he is way ahead of most other dummy halves. This may not be popular with Parra fans here, but the way he is playing right now, I would have him in front of Mahoney on his passing game and his running game is way way better then Mahoney's. He is a real talent and if he continues on this path, he will be the best dummy half in the NRL in a couple of seasons for sure.

Like I said last week I think, the Storm should tell Smith that they would love to have him go around for a year or two longer, but if he so chose to, then he will only be considered as a Halfback from now on. I mean he plays there for half the games anyway because their regular number 7 option is so devoid of vision and the correct pass selections or kicking options.

It would give C. Smith the whole off season to train in that position and work on the combinations and tactics that they will play with for the coming season. He would do it on his ear and it would then give the Storm one hell of a spine in Pap, Munster, Smith and Grant. The young kid would thrive behind a powerful and disciplined pack like the Storm and would gain great insight and game awareness playing with and feeding balls to the GOAT.

I can't believe that the Storm haven't already proposed this to them both. It's a no brainer if you ask me and would be a new and great challenge for Smith.

I can't see Storm not taking up his option. He's a keeper for sure.

Then again Storm still need to find a 7. Whilst they can get away with a plug-in 7 with Camillions there, they will be toast when he retires and who knows, this might be his last year.

On the Tigers, I see that they are shopping Benji Marshall around to clubs on loan. If this is the case, I would snap him up straight away, if we can fit the remaining part of his salary under our cap. He would fit in perfectly now that Moses is out for 4-6 weeks.

We couldn't have asked for a better hill in. He would be such a benefit to our squad right now. All we need from him is his game management which he would thrive in behind our domineering and mobile pack. From what I understand he isn't on all that much at all at the Tigers and therefore for half a season if that he would be dirt cheap. Maybe $100-150K.

It would be a master stroke pickup and I think he would jump at the chance to play at a club that has the potential to go all the way. Also him being in the media, if he were to ever pull on the Blue and Gold jersey, he would become an instant ally that may in future years be on our side during game day discussion and commentary.

But primarily it would be a great short term pickup and insurance for either of our halves going down for the remainder of the season.

Note: The Tigers are only agreeing to a loan with an NRL club, if in case they have injury issues, they can call him back. Worth the gamble I say and we will probably only need him for a 4-6 week period anyway and it would allow us not to rush Moses back and he can have the full and correct time to get his calf right for the pointy part of the season.

This is why they should ask C. Smith to go around next year or even two as a halfback. He can easily play there and he does it now anyway and he is better then all their other sevens at the club. It would make their spine much more fluid and the team would be better for it in my opinion.

It would give them another year or two that they can look for a quality permanent number seven also.

Last year for Storm but not him playing NRL. To Roosters maybe?

Benji is the worse defensive half in the Comp these days, we have built our wins off defence. BA will back what we have here and be happy to grind wins out if we have too.

He was playing in a team that wasn't aiming up right across the park and therefore his weaker defense was exposed significantly. If you stuck Lockyer in that Tigers team at the time he would of had the same defensive lapses.

In a team that has great defensive structures and can support him with defensive decisions, he would do just fine. In a middle of the road team like the Tigers, yeah sure there are to many issues in their defensive patterns for Benji to cope with successfully.

Tiger fans always tell us some bloke called Bitchell Poses is.
That said it really comes down to how much we can trust Drown/Gunco/depth half’s field kicking. Got to find 1000 kick metres per game from somewhere

I’m just saying I think that’s what BA will do, The ruck speed has also made it so much tougher for him defensively.
