I have not been able to find any literature indicating that the June 30 deadline has been waived - but I suppose it would be reasonable to assume that, given the disruptions to the season thus far, that an extension could be sought, and easily granted...but that's just common sense, and the NRL has been historically lacking in that department...
There's an article in today's Herald about Jason Saab requesting a release from the Dragons and in that article it states that the deadline for mid season signings has been extended to August 3rd for this year...

I said earlier in the year that they are my smoky for the title, but definitely top 4 and so far I don't see any reason to change that assessment.
Thanks mate.
I cant settle on the final team into the 4 yet.
Roosters, Eels and Raiders I can see, but not enough form/games to pick 4th from Manly, Penrith, Melbourne and Newcastle.

Raiders might get us this weekend but reckon they are on the decline, Ricky struggles to get his side up, 2 years in a row. While Williams may start to struggle after getting into the week to week grind of the NRL.

Not many points in the Faders this year. Strange considering that it's the same team plus the new gun 7.

Kafusi has potential to leapfrog everyone on the bench.
Evans,Kafusi,Niakuore are in the 17. The last spot is between

Taka,Stone,Smith,Gower,Terepo,Alvaro.

I like Stone as he can cover Mahoney. Same as Smith. I also like Taka for his utility value. With the 3 fit and on bench I'd rather one of these 3 over Gower,Terepo or Alvaro. They'd get no game time so better to have a just incase option if an injury.
Thats our problem, Taka,Stone,Smith,Gower,Terepo,Alvaro. Although most are reliable they are certainly not great and wouldn't make the top 17 of the better teams. And that's where we struggle if they become part of our team thru injury or suspension which BA needs to rectify next year..

Taka was excellent when he filled in on the wing last year.

Imo, the odd one out there is Terepo - he offers little.

Alvaro is safer, and a better defender;

Gower has more skill, and experience;

Taka and Smith, for all their brain farts, have plenty of creativity, and skill;

Stone is still learning the trade at this level.

Terepo is an 8-year veteran, whose development has stalled, and he offers little.

Just my opinion.
