Hayne is past tense. His potential is spent and he is in decline. No, Hayne has more potential. He's not better right now

RamI'm sure someone will blame Teps, Norms, Guth or Timmy...
They also have lost Nene Macdonald. If BA does what he said at the end of the season it will be more like this i would say.
1. French
2. Hoffman
3. Takairangi
4. Jennings
5. Radradra
6. Gutherson
7. Norman
A pretty strong backline there.
And with the titans who will be there outside backs next year with hoffman and mead leaving is the hayne plane going to be playing in 3 positions
Gee that backline is pretty average.I agree that should be the line up if we don't sign a 7, but with the constant rumours of us signing a halfback, if it happens, someone will have to miss out and with Taka's poor defence, (he can be slow to move across and slow to turn around), I'm not sure who you would leave out ahead of him. He'll be in the team somewhere, probably off the bench. But if we don't sigh a 7 then I agree with the above.
Gold Coast will have something like,
1. Hayne
2. Don
3. Hurrell.
4. Sarginson
5. Davis/Olive
He is 28 years old. There is no extra potential, only differing form (which is based on the quality of his team mates). No, Hayne has more potential. He's not better right now
Yeah based on his ability, which hasn't changed. Hence his cost, which also would hardly have changed. You must be referring to his pre 2014 achievements.
I'd prefer him to Hoffman. Some bloke just rang up Talkin Sport saying we've signed Antonio Winterstein from Cowboys.
Anyone heard that?

Assuming the Hoff is done...
I think there's 1 more position in the top 25 left and it may well be a winger ...
I think the choice could be between Sio and Winterstein ( if the talkin sport dude is right )
Hoffman will be a top 17 certainty. His salary will probably be in the top 10. No way is he a depth signing.
It's a good problem to have mate, compared to the quality back up depth the last 4 or 5 years of Morgs,Blair,Farimo,Toutai and Falonk Jr. Our depth is the best it's been since 05-07.Between Hoffman, Sio/Winterstein, Jennings, French, Gutherson, Semi and Taka which one misses out? Assuming French is fullback and Gutherson is 6, you wouldn't think Winterstein/Sio would come here to play for Wenty

Some good finishes in there. My favourite is in the test match when Billy the Cat takes a massive air swing at rolling ball and Hoff puts the shoulder in to score.
By the way, don't rule out young Dane Aukufolau who's supposedly training with the full time squad in November
Well i'm going to lap up the good news while i can.For sure. That's why I am struggling to believe we might have 8 quality backs to fit in positions 1-7. Even George Jennings (possibly as th 9th player) is an upgrade
Here's the conundrum ....
Hoff doesn't have a passing game therefore I don't think he's a great fullback and he is predominantly a left side player ... So whilst BA wants him at the club I'd be interested to see how he compliments the line up.
